Since Pontons are a sort of hot discussion at this point, I might as well mention that my father had a '55-'56 220A in dark grey which he purchased from Mercedes in Stuttgart way back then. What was unique about it was that it had a sort of vinyl moonroof that opened all the way back to the rear glass and it was left hand drive. I'd kill to be able to just see that car again. I have a pic of my mother sitting in that car in 1963. I'll try to find it if possible. He sold the car in 1966, as he never kept a car for more than 10 years.
At the same time he also had a '57 Belair Sport Sedan in silver grey with a white roof and silver/white interior. Again I have no idea where that car is. The Chevy was mostly used by my dad while my mother used the Merc and both cars were disposed off in the 60's.
