Despite my relative insanity when it comes to old VWs of that vintage, and particularly ragtops, I nonetheless felt that a guide price of "8-10 lacs" was rather steep for what amounts to a total basket-case.
I therefore opted to leave that one well alone, until such time as the owner either:
(i) is changed; or
(ii) regains his senses, through connecting with the real world.
At the same time, I'm patiently waiting for the owner of a certain, ugly, thoroughly modified and abused 58 LHD Ragtop residing in Pindi to budge - even an inch. It's a painfully slow process - which, like fine wine or a career in the law, takes many, many years to yield results.
