it is not a super beetle, rather a standard model (chassis code starts with 11 and not 13). pictures suggest she'd had a rough life but is still very saveable (specially for a KHI car).
i'm guessing the floors are rotten though as they look as if they've had many layers of carpet etc on them and will have retained allot of moisture. also the floors on most beetles are neglected and poorly repaired as owners tend to want a quick fix. it'd be safe to say that this car will probably need a frame off if the floors are found to be badly damaged or (sigh) welded to the body (yes that also does happen here sadly).
is it possible that the bent fan caused some damage to the bearings inside the alternator? have a look as it might save you removing it later again.
asad is one of those guys who is busy getting his hands (really) dirty. he's all action and get's down and dirty from what i know. ideally he should have a 2nd pair of hands to take pictures.

i used to think that it was normal for VW's to leave a mark, later on i read an article about how that isn't right,... since then i've realized that i shoudl be enbarrased when my 1303 drops oil,.. specially since my 68 & thing dont!!
i'm seriously considering getting remtec to build me a crate engine now....
