Want electrical or hydraulic power steering conversion on my RX 7 first generation

Salamz Brothers,
I have an Rx7 1982 model (first generation)....pretty original except engine and tranny...which is from a 929 Mazda .....
Here it is....
check my rx7 savana and comment..... ( 1 2 3).....
This car originally came (or I got it) with non power steering...having Tyre size
205,it is quite heavy.....difficult to drive....I want to convert it into electric power
steering preferably......or into hydraulic power steering,If power box of the car
is available or some compatible power box....
Experts....please come forward......I need some help and suggestions before
attempting...

Pics of the car are found above....I will be loading pics of steering column
(in case we go for electric power steering) and steering box (if we go for a replacement
power steering box)...
Your help and suggestion would be highly appreciated ..

the main problem is the steering column and box are one unit in a 1st gen.

i personally suggest use 185 tires instead of 205

Thank you so much Rashid bhai.......yes you are right...they are one piece ....although its still in place and I have never opened it......
The rims currently installed are hollow and too wide.....185 tyres become "baloon shaped" on these rims....
Its pcd is 110 ....alloys are hard to find in this pcd ....
like this so many problems......:D....
I was thinking that mazda 626 and 929 also share the same parts......If we can find a power box of 626 or 929......that may fit...
second option is to find a complete steering box and column of the above two cars ...and doing some experiments to fit electrical power unit in the column.....
Don"t want to play with its original steering box and column so that we can fix it back if we are not successful in our experiments.......

:)....I totally forgot that I have already made a thread regarding this matter....years ago...
Actually....as I am becoming older n older.....power graph is also going down and down....:(..
This car is becoming more n more difficult to drive without power steering....I was fine with it ...years back...but not now...
Because I like it very much ....so no other option except to put power steerin in it.....

if yr older, yr probably need 155 tires in front. i drive starlet with 155 and no issues with brakes..

i also had starlet steering column replaced, its stiff as mech said, it will loosen up with time.

I don't think Rashid Bhai that there is any other solution except power steering installed in this Rx 7.....

pls confirm if it is the same part or not as shown in the link. This person had a detailed pictorial explanation for rx7 1st gen power steering.

rehman bhai doesnt have rotary engine anymore. above is fitting for rotary power steering pulley.

after driving many cars including savanna , i feel it does not need power steering at speed.

it will feel loose like honda accord. - do keep in mind accord is preffered by ladies more than guys, guys who are into cars because of control designs.

if you want to show to my mechanic, he is phusto speaking man and can get it done fr you whether the parts come from pindi, pesh, khi or jpn import.

powersteering isnt a issue if yr mind set to do it.

That is exactly what I want......If I can get the steering box shown in the above thread.....the problem is over.....power pump and other electronics can be sorted out easily....

Ready to pay any price for this power steering setup...

Actually I drive quite slow Rashid bhai....fast driving is only occasional.......very occasional ....so power steering is a must....
If we can find original power box....that would be a pleasure...ready to get it imported even....

i have a half cut of a fd3 rx7! if u want i can arrange the whole power steering setup of it for u! that would include the assembly the pump etc etc

The only correct way out is to get the complete power steering gear and shaft of a RHD FB RX7 - you can then use a steering pump from a similar setup or make a bracket to fit one to your engine, the hydraulic return and cooling lines and oil bottle would be a walk in the park.

Do not try to rig some other sort of steering box into your car - you have a pretty nice example of an FB
