Not so 'lucky' when there's so much choice and one gets boggled just thinking about purchasing a new car like it's beginning to happen here. It's time to start introducing affordable sports cars too, don't you think?. There's a huge market here to be tapped in that segment, but capacity problems prevent car makers from entering right now. They won't be able to price it on the low unless they produce it locally. Hopefully,things will change soon.

Volkswagen India has launched the Polo based sedan, Volkswagen Vento in India. Volkswagen Vento, the name Vento stands for ‘air’ in the Italian language. Volkswagen Vento lives up to its name as it has the most powerful engine of 105BHP at 4250 RPM.

The Vento’s starting price is set to Rs 7 lakh with full featured version to Rs 9 lakh. The Vento will be assembled in Volkswagen’s plant in Chakan, Pune, where it will be built next to the Polo and Skoda Fabia hatchbacks. Volkswagon has 7 models in India which are Polo, Vento, New Beetle, Jetta, Passat, Touareg and Phaeton.

Hyundai Motor India Ltd on Wednesday launched here a new sedan, Verna Transform, priced at Rs.6.5-7.5 lakh.

The petrol variant of the car starts at Rs.6.55 lakh and goes up to Rs.7.31 lakh, while the diesel version is priced between Rs.7.87 and 9.02 lakh.

‘The Verna Transform will boost Hyundai’s already superior line-up of products,’ said Arvind Saxena, sales and marketing director, HMIL.

The petrol variant comes with a 1.6 litre engine and promises to deliver 15.5 km a litre in the city. The diesel Transform has a 1.5 litre engine and comes with a four-speed automatic transmission as well.

lolz... its true then that a man can never be happy... buddy u r far better and blessed in terms of cars there... here its always suzuki.. and if u have some more money but not much you can go for corolla... and if u want 'luxury' then civic is for u :S thats it ... this sucks man ....

The petrol Vento will probably cost approx. RS8lacs fully loaded which is not a bad deal, except for the fact that buying a car in the compact segment is becoming more complicated. Did you check out the front design of the Verna Transform?.:eek: Well, wonder why driving around is hellish over here. Add, crazy 2-wheelers who will appear outta nowhere in front of you to the mix.lol

The "Prima" range of long haul trucks is now available off the rack in India. Finally truckers get a proper trailer with bunk beds and interiors which can be accessorized. Changing the face of trucking in India.

The Vento (POLO SEDAN) it seems zabardasti ka addition, was this car realy required?? Its nyc but id certainly drop the idea and opt for other better options avalible specialy in the indian market.

But for the recent launched Hatches in India, Polo is my first choice, without considering any other car atall, (i hope the swift isnt launching soon, i lyked the GEN Swifts interior, i mean that where the driver spents most of his time.

@waqas, 7-9 lack indian come around 12-18 lacks local Pakistani , im not sure about exchange rate, but it looks like the size of Belta/City to me. seems resonably or high priced.

true... exchange rates make it almost double the price.. but man look at the brand and 1.6L... can u expect it here??..
