What's the difference between Baked & Spray paint?

The beetle I had I'm gonna buy it back again, & I'm planning to get it painted Metallic Red (Maroonish).. All I need to know is whats the difference between Baked paint & Spray paint.. which one would be better for a Beetle or which one would look better? & whats the price difference?

2. Do you still have your subaru?
3. Where are you planning n getting the car painted? Reason i'm asking is that some spray painters are better than some bake painters.

1) I do have pictures but they're old when I used have that car
2) I still have a Subaru, sort of trying to sell it & buying a Vitz soon I guess & a Mehran
3) Don't have any place in mind as such.. but I know a painter around Golra

whats with the baked paint? anything good about it? how much would it cost me?

thanks for the reply buddy.

My advice is to either go to 1 of 3 places. Mitsubishi Islamabad motors in I-9 (bake) Rustum Ustaad in choor chawk (Bake) or khalid ustaad Westridge (spray).

Baking allows the paint to cure and usually gives better results but costs alot more.

Here are 2 of my beetles, 1 baked and one sprayed,.. which do you think is which?

Excellent guess, but do you honestly think it was worth the 18000 rupee difference in price for baking?

baked as the name says,,is a whole unit looks like a garage. paint done in heated room where its dried off in apropriate temperature. when you walk into paint room you suddenly the difference the temp.

I simply love the alloys on it, love the colour too.. Im gonna get the same colour, like the chrome on it too.. even though i have 74 model tail lights on my bug.. but i'll change em to the old ones..

The beetle I had & which I'm going to buy back by the end of this month (Insh'ALLAH)

@Storm.. Lemme give a few specs about it.. It was a 1200cc.. Late 1968 Model with Pop-out windows.. All fenders upgraded to 1974 model.. Hood upgraded to 1974 model.. Tail lights upgraded to 1974.. Front Crystal Lights..

I drove it on petrol for about 4 - 5 months & then sold it..
These are two pics of it.. & my old house with that steep crap lolzZ.. i mean once I got my bug stuck in the house.. I mean I was trying to get it even more in & it sorta screeched from the back & moved a bit, so bumper was stuck with the wall & I had no other choice than taking off the bumper & get it out.. lolzZ.. that was fun though.. anyway.. now the car's been fixed.. as you can see few dents on the left rear fender.. Somebody bumped into it when it was parked.. & it has a new pair of tail lights now.. give your comments Sameer bhai..

As for your car it was nicely done and i specially like the headlights. Have you found your old car yet? What else do you have planned for it? was it a 68 deluxe? what was the original engine size (from factory)?

Yeah I actually sold it to one of my friends he has converted it to CNG & has fixed quite a few things.. I'm planning for a complete make over.. I'll pretty much copy IDD 37.. I want the same Alloys.. Same Colour.. & as for my own creation.. I'll make its interior.. dont know what it was originally.. I guess its 68 deluxe.. will paint it Maroonish Metallic Red.. with Cream/Offwhite interior.. in Dash LCD.. I mean fixed within the dashboard & also planning to put in Power Steering & A/C in it.. somebody told me that it'd be possible to install all those.. so I'll soup it up in a really classic way.. 'cause initially when I bought it.. I had a plan of completely modifying it.. but I couldn't take out time at all.. 'cause I was busy with work, I am busy these days too.. but I've got a big time plan for pimpin' it up this time.. So lets see.. I also have another plan of buying a Mini Cooper.. & somebody told me on PW about a Mini Club for 150k.. but thats expensive I guess.. Anyways.. lets see how this plan goes..

by the way storm i luved your black bug man.. I'd appreciate if you can put a few more pix of it here..
