I've a cultus vxl, 2.5+ years/32k kms done on it
Based on my experience, will share pros and cons that really matter to me
Pros
1- Fuel Economy, for 32k kms combined, from 0 meter till 32k kms, it delivered 16.99km/L fuel avg, it includes max 1500 km long and remaining aprox 31.5k kms in Lhr driving, daily morning and evening, so fuel avg is impressive for me and it convinced me to buy this car otherwise I was going for swift 1.3 dlx (without navigation)
2- Engine power pick and response, suzuki has done good job in K series, when you compare it will any other 1 litre engine, it out performs surprisingly, like in manual vxl with quick shifts, you can do 0-100 in 12 seconds easily
3- Seating space, head and leg room is pretty adequate, sometimes (once or twice an year) I have to travel with 5 people and it's so roomy, nobody complained about it, and I like it a lot
4-before this I was considering swift, it had no airbags, so in vxl, abs and airbags both are there, that was a for me, because both picanto and cultus both have these, so I think it that's not a deciding factor for you
In some other depts , like comfort, utility like cup holders or rear seat folding etc, and which things I will not discuss in cons, you can consider I'm satisfied with them
Cons
1-Assembling Quality
Majority refer this as build quality, my opinion differs
Most of the parts are build well and are pretty strong if considered individually, but the assembling QC of Paksuzuki is pretty bad, like plastic panel gaps in interior or gap between exterior panels, it's all because of bad assembling, parts/components are not bad in build quality dept
Same goes for body paint, paint itself is fine, but labor working for paksuzuki should be fired, some panels are absolutely fine but 1-2 panels had paint chipping (in 0 meter car) other than that, in 2.5 years, there was no paint chipping or any other issue, paint has good strength, can't be removed with slight rub or scratch
2- Interior Plastic Build
This issue is limited to global celerio and pkdm cultus, not in wagonR or swift, and
And seems like that's not fault of Paksuzuki
Celerio / cultus interior plastics, especially 4, door panels, B pillar plastic panels and boot plastics, all are bit fragile, not bad in texture when you touch them, they lack strength, don't know why but it should be improved
Dashboard build is better, also has better strength
3-AC
It's ac is better than old gen alto or old gen cultus, but not chilling
I will rate it as 7/10, in Lhr summers when car is parked under sun, it takes time to cool
I'm not comparing with any other car, it's just my opinion, it should perform bit better, maybe I'm over expecting
Still I knew this issue because before buying car, still I bought it
4- Missing Features
I miss retractable mirrors, if around in 25k paksuzuki offers retractable, I will opt for them
Will I buy it again, Yes
But vxl manual variant
Reason, I've studied ags tranny, in pak, there are 2-3 issues with it
Mechanics don't understand this, parts and lubricats are not available (like 5Ags hydralic actuator oil is not available in pak currently, and it's tranny oil, 75w is not available in except couple of Paksuzuki dealerships)
If I missed something, questions related to cultus are welcome
Hope this info will help you in decision making
