Not too far back one Sportage caught fire and became a media trend, KIA came with a statement that the CAR was electrically modified hence the fire and no warranty claim.
That was correct but KIA intentionally did not mention that it was a Trackker installed for insurance and bank lease. Imagine anyone leasing a kia and bank mandates trackker, the warranty is void even before the car leaves the showroom?
