Which automatic hatchback is the best buy?

AoA All.
I intend to lease an automatic hatchback zero meter for my father in a couple of weeks. Please guide which will be the best option. His current ride is City 2005. Want to gift him as he always has been on the giving end . Your kind input will be a lot of help indeed. Secondly what are your views about JDMs (keeping in view that imports will likely stay closed).

20 lacs or max 25... Its going to be a lease bro.
Somehow I have noticed that he doesn't enjoy getting in and out of city 2005 due to its low height. So thought wagon R might be having a good entry and exit. Haven't driven it though. Want to give him a vehicle.

If you can stretch till 2650-27, then my advice would be a new Toyota Yaris. It's a sedan. Has best safety features among any Pakistani car.

If 20, then choose between Cultus or Picanto.
I won't suggest a Wagonr Automatic for 18 lacs

O yes... Good reminder bro. Totally forgot the picanto. He once mentioned that doesn't care much for sedans now. Probably prefers hatchbacks for manoeuvrability.

If you are not worried about resale, then you may go for Picanto

When you lease, there is not a significant difference in the installments if the total is +-1 lac. So my preference would be a Yaris

You are getting for your father. A sedan would more suit him than a Hatchback.
If you really want a Hatchback, then Picanto or cultus is the best choice

I have not driven it. But saw it one time in showroom
Build quality is aala. There are hidden features as well which are not noticeable but important.
For example seat height adjuster
Side view mirrors are heated or cooled i think so they dont get foggy i guess

I won't suggest Jdm.
It would be a 3 year old car which will be sold here as 'new'
There are many features in JDMs but they are hard to maintain.
Metre reversed hote hain and more problems

Visit all three showrooms
Check out Cultus, Picanto and Yaris (if budget allow)
I personally saw Yaris and the build quality was very nice. No misaligned lights, joints waghaira were good

All parts of Picanto are imported, only it is assembled here unlike Toyota and Suzuki because of which the build quality is better

If sedan is completely out of the option then Cultus and Picanto are good hatchbacks.
Cultus will have better resale but Picanto has better quality and comfort.

You can go for JDM but since import closed it very difficult to find a clean non accidental JDM. Additionally you have to take proper care of them and slight difficulty in finding body parts and some maintenance parts.
Passo moda is a great hatchback with tons of features . If you can make effort to keep it maintained then go for it otherwise dont. Get a new Picanto/Cultus with warranty and brand new car

Picanto seems to be an attractive option, and I guess it will be having more features and a better drive as compared to suzuki variants theoretically as practically haven't driven any of them, so can't say for sure.

You can consider Vitz, Passo Moda (beautiful hatch among all) and Picanto.

Also you can consider a suzuki swift as well. It is a very good hatchback with plenty of power. Since you mentioned manoeuvrability as well I think you should consider swift.
