Which car is better to buy in the budget of 2.2 to 2.3 million? Honda City 1.5 Aspire Prosmatec 2016/17 or Suzuki Ciaz Automatic 2017/18

Dear Pakwheelers,

I want to take a suggestion from you guys. As the title says I want to buy a car in the budget of 2.2 to 2.3 million and my choices are Honda City 1.5 Aspire Prosmatec 2016/17 and Suzuki Ciaz Automatic 2017/18. I'm well aware of the fact that from resale perspective, Honda City is always a winner, but if I want to keep this car for around 3-4 years, is Suzuki Ciaz Automatic better than Honda City 1.5 Aspire Prosmatec in terms of comfort, drive, fuel consumption etc.? Please help me in this regard as I want to make a better choice out of the budget that I have.

I will appreciate your help and will be thankful for your valuable suggestions.

Note: I have made this choice of either buying Honda City 1.5 Aspire Prosmatec 2016/17 or Suzuki Ciaz Automatic 2017/18, so please give me your suggestion according to my choice. I will be grateful. However, if you want to suggest any other car in this price range, also provide some strong reason for that suggestion. Thanks.

Ciaz jlhas better finishing and safety but ofcourse, city rules in resale..and also Honda feels better than Suzuki in a sedan's category

I believe, YES, it definitely is!

If resale is not your concern, go for Ciaz!

Compared to decade old City, you will get a very good deal for Ciaz IN SHA ALLAH.

In terms of comfort and drive Suzuki ciaz is much better than Honda city. Ciaz has more spacious cabin best in class cabin insulation (bcz its thailand made) also in drive the ciaz feels more superior than honda city.In fuel consumption both the cars have almost same fuel economy.If resale is not a issue for you than go for ciaz you'll enjoy it.Inshallah​

I dont know that much about suzuki but one thing i know is that ciaz has bad resale, no road presence as no one prefers to own a big car with suzuki badge as its known for making cheap cars which ruins its place for being a status symbol specially here . On the other hand there is no doubt about aspire its really sophisticated and modern looking if compared to the competition and yes it will give you problem if you go to rural areas but in city its good , roadgrip and stability wise its better than corolla so overall its the right decision. Road presence and brandvalue determine a cars success which in case of aspire is way more.

I beg to differ. I own a Toyota Corolla Altis 1.6 '18 and also has a Honda City '15 and I can say without a doubt that both cars can't be compared in terms of comfort, drive and stability and Corolla is better than City in every aspect except fuel consumption where City has the lead. However, I agree with you on your point that owning a big car with Suzuki badge is a bit of a risk keeping in mind the previous impression of Suzuki sedans. Other than this Suzuki's bad image, I think that Ciaz is a better car than City except Resale and spare parts availability and pricing. Anyways, thank you for your suggestion @dmushtaq560

Thank you for your suggestion and I agree with you on that, but the car that I'm looking for has to be the best in terms of fuel consumption and provided that I already own a 2018 Corolla Altis 1.6, I think that both the choices that I have mentioned are better in terms of fuel average than Corolla Altis 1.6 and also it's near to impossible to find a 5 years old Altis in the best of its condition and low mileage, don't you think?

@alibintahir i have facelift grande now, before i had aspire and im telling you aspire is more driveoriented and stable when braking , yes at high speeds city does sway due to its light weight and is not that stable but only at speeds above 150 under it its pretty stable. I did not say anything about comfort of course corolla is better in comfort than city. The fuel economy of city is overrated as with automatic transmission it is heavy on fuel maybe manual is good fuel consumption wise but automatic is prettymuch same like others. performance is also greater than 1.6 altis if we talk about 1.5 aspire .

When it comes to stability and road grip, I believe Honda performs better than Toyota, provided we are comparing same league cars; like Corolla VS Civic and City, etc.

If you already have a Corolla than ciaz will be a better choice.
Fuel average in my opinion mainly depends upon how a person drives.
Above 3 vehicles are 1.4L , 1.5L and 1.6L all automatic will do around 14-15km/l on highway with normal foot.
If are a soft foot driver/ hypermiller than it's a different story.

And yes finding a 5 year old maintained vehicle is pretty tough.
Btw you will mostly find 2015 model car driven 70-80k km.

For better comfort level... Buy Corolla XLi/GLi ... Corolla suspension is too much better than Ciaz and City. Buy car for your comfort.
