Why do all japanese car have speedometer till 180kmph

Sir the speed limiter is only for family cars and mild sports car.

Accord SIR easily brakes the 180km/hr barrier so is the Lancer EVO, Subaru Impreza and Galant VR4 not to talk about the Skyline GTR.

Even in Germany you can lift the 155mph barrier in AUDI, BMW and Mercedes etc on customer's request and own risk, they however do a high speed test before removing the rev limit.

Personally I think we should have a limiter at 155km/hr for C segment cars (Corolla/Civic) and 100km/hr for A/B segment cars (Alto/Cultus).

the needle do went a lot ahead 180 but the pic was clicked a bit earlier but as needle reaches right where odo meter is the power cuts .. limiter!!! . Sorry for this pic i only drove it fast once to check the top speed . thats it

brother i m very sorry but my cousin had taken the car from my brother and we had got 2010 civic prosmatec indeed i also have changed my car . i have got 2010 pearl red swift and sold my vitz . Guess what i purchased vitz for 8 laks 10 thousand in 2007 and sold for 8 laks 87 thousand and the odo meter had 62,000 kms on it :D. For the 2000 civic its kind of still with us but one of my cousin do have in silver and it is exi manual tranny with same condition . I ll let u know whenever he ll be in mood to sell and i m defenately sure the time to sell that car is very near

considering that my surf can do 180 in 3rd gear i'm always tempted to see how far she'd go (and if she is limited or not),... but i've yet to even hit 140 on the motorway (yes i know i was being a muoppet) as i tend to drive at 40-50 in town.

I have touched 200 kmph on 120 series Prado with same engine you got on your surf. It was as stable as driving at 80kmph. The meter was upto 200 but it could go far beyond it. At 200 the rpm was around 3.5 . I have the video somewhere.

Well up2 my info all the japan made and imported cars have a speed limiter bcoz their police cars can not go beyond 180, so they have limited all the car manufacturers to limit the speed at 180... howeva ppl remove the speed limiter and thryr gud 2 get away from police with ease... Moreover 180 is already a v.high speed for most of the japanese congested cities.

Had one last year bro. Sold it earlier this year. Since i am away at university so no need of a personal car anymore except for transportation and 2D is doing the job well. But i still have a "keera" for 6th gen civic :P.
Still ask your bro about his demand for the car.
