Safwan Bhai i give u answer per Paragraph for the clarity.
Primarily bcz of water? You have (depends on the thikness of the gasket) maybe 1.5mm. from the coolant side where water can attack the gasket and for the gasket it is no problem to handle that by a normal used engine the water is always circulating and heating up so it is not a primarily problem for the gasket there they can take it dont worry they are sealed there with special materials on the gasket bcz of that "problems" frm the manufacturers of the Gasket. When the gasket gets material weakness water can go thru this way and then the pressure frm cylinder side blows up the gasket. I never and no engine builder will recommend drive without coolant.
I also said the Block is getting corrosion so no need to talk abt that. But Brother electrolysis in the cooler frm electrical currents? We are talking here from something that runs/circulates. Did u ever saw an elektrolysis? It takes time when u dont have enough electrical power but maybe i read it wrong i cant imagine u are saying this to me. So i talked with an manufacturer of radiators and the main problems of todays radiators are that they are to thin. Before we can repair radiators but try it with todays. He said the problem is that the car producers want to buy them cheaper so...
And yes water in radiators is not gud
Thanks to god i never saw here a mechanic wich is taking the same bolts i never heard that before.
Ok for example vw says -25 or -35°C. Mercedes -30°C. Ferrari.. and so on. How u will do that when u just ad 50to50? When u change the coolant every 48 to 96months (recommend frm vw,audi, seat, skoda, porsche and so on) it is easy but not when u ad something. so we measure the coolant and ad what is needed.
For example i have only water in my coolant (what we both forbid people or dont recommend) than i see my water is a bit under the minimum level (we both know why - only water
) so i want to fill it up and i remember safwan bhai's word 50 to 50 means 1:1 so is it right?
Thanks for reading till here Bhai i think the heading words of the article r wrong choosen. And i highly recommend for our mechanics an "how to install an thermostat correctly". Allah Hafiz
