Vitz and Vios are smaller cars. They can never compete with a Corolla.

I dont see it happening. IMC has either hit a jackpot or shot themselves in the foot if the news is what it is.

Guys all you were saying that indus is only giving 1.3 in corolla and no where other this engine is offered. Now when they are taking step in that direction then all of you have started complaining. I did not get this behavior at all.

Why would they tell you their plans?
There is a reason cars under R&D are heavily camouflaged.

New entrants have forced Indus and Atlas to get serious and offer new models with better features at competitive price. This will be interesting as small compact sedan usually doesn’t have much liking beyond main cities.

nope...it will even be liked in villages....thing was that gli 1.3 was underpowered for its body size......a beter engine and smaller body would mean better fuel efficiency.....

No where Vios comes with 1.3.....so it might come with 1.5 as the new City would be like. Furthermore i dont think it will have problem with resale as toyota enjoys brand value here and they will sell it well with own money.

I don't get it that why are we so adamant that Corolla is no where offered in 1.3. It is still being offered in SA, why would indus want to change that. of anything indus can always launch vitz 1.0 and sweep the small car competition.

so indus still has the option of bringing in the 1.6CVT,

Secondly VIOS is available in many markets with 1.3 so no issue there also

In corolla it’s saint gobain, but heard from authentic source that imc has given order to AGI for glass.
