For checking right temperature you have to get a thermometer. Start the car with radiator cap open and observe the temperature of coolant. Fan should kick in at around 93-95C.

How to check if t-stat is working , Just installed today
and my radiator fan gets on at this point of guage , is it normal or should I change that sensor switch ? ( simple tap water in radiator )

no using simple tap water in your radiator is NOT normal and your car will NOT act normal and you wont see a normal temp guage in the middle until or unless you use coolant. that too after flushing all the SIMPLE water in your cooling system.

yeah I'll change that with coolant but what I meant was " normally other cultus starts the fan at this point on the temperature gauge or before this "

Normally cultus temperature gauge sits exactly in the middle.
If you are talking about the normal thermometer which is used to check the body temperature of any person then you can't use that... Sorry don't know its correct name.

I checked my own this way..
Radiator cap was opened before starting the car.
This was done with a cold engine.

did you bleed the air out of the system?
to me its just air trapped in the system

T-state valve location depends upon engine btw kick that mechanic hard who said t.valve is no needed in summar

Is it picture affect or needle looks a bit on high side??? Fan should start at needle reaching exactly half mark.

I am currently using tap water with auto fan and without t.valve but still fan starts exactly at 50% of needle travel... Planning to flush and install coolant+t.stat

its not the effect , That is what I was worried of, fan starting at 85-90% of guage,
I"ll try cleaning the sensor switch by petrol before changing.

Open the radiator cap when car is cold park the car on slope such that the front side of car is higher. Start the car. Keep on squeezing the rubber pipes. Atleast wait till the radiator fan kicks inn. And i think that if there is any air trapped in the system that would come out.

Brother, your car requires some work. And I completely understand what it feels like to purchase a car spending the last penny you got and then the itch to do something while the pocket is all dry. 18. Side mirrors (Matching paint whenever you paint your bumpers-Cost effective)
19. Wheel Alignment (In case you don't intend changing tyres/rims anytime soon)
20. Wheel Balancing (In case you don't intend changing tyres/rims anytime soon)
21. Complete suspension (Check)
22. Steering column (Check)
23. All wiring inside the engine bay (Check, Repair or Replace)
24. Battery (Maintain)
25. Engine degreasing and bay cleaning
26. Wiper arms assemblies and refills (Replace with Genuine)

on petrol when you leave the throttle then you can feel little jerks,
is this because of timing ? as when I turn engine off, it shuts after some time ( nearly fine on cng but very late on petrol )
can we adjust timing on our own or special tools/experience is needed ?

You are facing what is referred as dieseling the issue is with carb fuel cut solenoid

is that also the reason for jerks ? in my carburetor slow race solenoid (kuppi) was missing and when u lift the foot from throttle, engine goes off,
dont know what mechanic did , he said he did something with slow jets, now I feel a little more race at idle , though the rpm is at 1-1200 (on petrol)

what should I do ?

because in my carburetor only this solenoid has electrical wire attached, no other electrical solenoid. ( mazoor sa carburetor lagta hai )

took that auto fan sensor switch out, cleaned with sand paper and wd40, it had little rust on surface , now shining clear.
again washed with water and placed back ,
now; I dont feel any major difference, fan still turns on at 80% of gauge
btw I have installed thermostat because of which, now my temperature needle mostly sits in the middle
while in traffic jams etc it gets a little high, reaches 80-85% , fan starts till needle comes to middle again....
is it normal now or I should go for sensor switch change.
btw now I'm using guard coolant (1 liter, rest is water ) , how much liquid, radiator + engine pipes hold btw ?
