Thanks a lot
Glad to see this beast is still running strong..
Salam all fellows, has anyone tried putting white bulbs in meter, my ride's meter lights are very dim it's a 2004 cultus so i was planning to change them so thought why not try white bulbs ? Please reply
Why not stock?
Stock is good too but i think it'll be a nice change also see this
I"m using led bulbs that are for parking light. But honestly speaking the stock yellow bulbs were more bright.Installing white led only, wont make the digits glow white.
U r using white led parking bulbs in meter ?
I liked the needle colorKeep us updated if you come across any DIY way to make the needles glow red like this...
Do needles require seperate bulbs?
I don't think so. As far as I remember- there were only three bulbs.
Go through this-Hope you'll find what you need.
The picture which i uploaded is the result when back of rpm and speedometer is rubbed with sandpaper so that white light can easily spread what is the power of these bulbs though which u have installed?
I was searching for this thanx, this man's a genius though.
Dont know about the exact watts. But these are simple led parking bulbs having 5 smd. Biger ones are also easily available with 9 and more smd.
No doubt in that. Btw I think - needle will still glow more like orange instead of red.
The only thing i don't wanna do is getting the back of meter rubbed with sandpaper cuz for that you have to remove needles and i kn0w my electrician would mess things up so will only install white bulbs like u may be with higher smd, i liked your meter though.
The original red light is somehow irritating to me this result which you got is looking calm n cool to my eyes going for it for sure soon
Pulling the needles out was the only step that pushed me away from this DIY mod Otherwise I had plan to get some red needles, grind the speed and rpm pannel, connecting speed o meter lights with ignition and giving speed o meter glass a 25% black tint
