Please let me know any good mechanic for Passo 1000cc (not footpathi mechanic, as I tested them for my bike & my old car) or let me know any company mechanic. I live in Karachi Noth Nazimabad. Although I do not need mechanic right now I am just asking for safe side in advance.

no you cannot use it on the sliders, they only take silicone grease.

Bhai jee i have sourced molyslip copaslip. Is it good to go?? Secondly i have failed to get any silicone grease. Wat to do?

do not use the coppaslip on the sliders.

Silicon grease is not that hard to locate, It was also sold as a Pakistan brand of "sloan" that was packed in EPZ Karachi. I could even buy it by the KG in Karachi at the oil market near the zoo.

Where did you locate this coppaslip?

coppaslip is great for pad backing but not the caliper slides.

Using this on the back plate of the pads will permanently eliminate the screech noise of brakes.

Buy new genuine toyota brake pads from the showroom or an authorised parts dealer, one of the OE suppliers is akebono (hard to find in Pakistan), Any product that says meets OEM standards is not even close to it.

When servicing the brakes - replace all the brake fluid with new and use proper silicone grease on the caliper sliders and pad backing plate.

I agree with changing the brake fluid thing, but isnt it supposed to be having a service interval time, like 40-50k plus more frequent brake oil change in Pakistan will eventually cost more cause 90% brake oil in market is fake resulting in master cylinder failure.
Brake pads can be burnt in one single wrong descent from murree / Pirsohawa. Do we need to change the brake oil again ??. Purging brake lines is near to impossiible in Pk cause even Toyota doesnt have the exact equipment for that.

If the brakes overheated, your fluid also overheated - it will work but not 100% like it should. Purging brake lines is very easy on any car, use the pedal to pump it and connect a bleed kit (small bottle + pipe) a bit higher than the bleeder to remove all air and fluid. For ABS pump bleeding - toyota has the sequence in their intellitester.

In most cases the pump bleeds itself under pedal pressure. The only time you need to bleed the pump is when the pump gets some sludge in it from worn out brake pipes or rust particles floating in the system.

Brake fluid should be changed every year - its a safety critical item. Its not that expensive either. For weeding out fakes - call a distributor and ask for a retail location.

• ask for it as "taambe waali grees" - btw auto parts sellers in Pakistan dont even know what a car is or what they sell, to them parts are filters, plugs, brakes etc and will try their best to rob you.

Go to an industrial supply place. They have such items.

I once asked for silicon grease from a hop near cafe piyala and the guy brought a tube of rtv silicon...

In Karachi go to marriot road (jodia bazar) and visit the 4 or 5 shops there, they have these items - in Plaza there is a shop called zubair impex or something that has such items. They will also direct your properly.

All it takes is a bit of effort. If you are in Korangi area there was a very large lube shop near Chamra Chawrangi that sold industrial lubes and also items like toothpaste... they had about 30 different types of grease available by the kg and about a hundred different types of industrial lubes.
