Unfortunately, They look inspired from these ugliest rims ever I have seen. Never liked these ever. They devalue and in my eyes depreciate the car. That's why these new Honda rim styling isn't much appealing to my eyes.
      Hopefully it may sink in.

This is the ugliest thing on Planet earth and many reborn owners used them to rice their cars :/

That's why I am trying to resist changing them.
Any ways even if I hate them I will not change them right away. Reason: Initially no tyre shop will buy them for more than Rs.20,000 saying "Sir jee yeh rim kisi aur gaari ko nahi lagnay in ki demand nahi karain ge log"
Then when hardtop is launched and many of those owners will prefer to get "janyan allow rim" for their cars, the rate of these rims would be atleast Rs.50,000 being demanded by the same shopkeepers since they will then say to those buyers "bhai jaan yeh 16 ka janyan honda company ka rim hai, company ka rate 60 hazaar hai hum to 50 ka de rahay hain, baree demand mai hai yeh rim". Same will apply to many 9th & 8th Gen owners looking for 16 alloys of 10th Gen.
That's when I will sell them. I will portray as a Hardtop owner and ask for its rate first, later he can deduct a couple thousand for his so called bachat and instead of paying extra for another set I'd rather tell them to give me money instead. I'd rather save money than spilling it like this to their unreasonable strategy of ripping the pocket.

Hmm. Interesting way of putting it. Good strategy. I might reconsider Coz finding some good rims might take some time.

Keeping rims aside, changing the tyres is also going to be an issue coz no other PKDM has 215/55/R16 size as yet apart from the civic. Don't know about tyre size but I guess selling the tyres is going to be a huge dent on the resale value.

      Why not utilise the dent?
Jab loss hi uthana hai to use karo, maybe guzaara kar jain and prove to be better than Euros. Why bless new tyres to someone. I will use them initially to experience them. Then get new if I don't like them

Yeh bhe theek baat hai. Cheers to bringing this up. I'll use the tyres for a couple of thousand kms and see how I like them.

I'll change them by the time the next summers come as I recently found out that tyres have temperature grading from A to C or maybe D.

I got some CC5's which have an A grade temperature (usually used in the UAE as Grade C are banned for import in the UAE, only A & B) which should give me some piece of mind when travelling on the motorway at high speed on extremely hot roads when the atmospheric temperature is 45ish so the roads must be touching much more. Never had an experience of a burst tyre at high speed and don't intend on experiencing it at all.

A friend of my brother has offered to arrange me fresh Marangoni (an Italian brand) on a controlled rate. Will wait for the first 6-12 months before ordering them.

      http://tyre.marangoni.com

Have experienced them once in the past and they were seriously amazing tyres. I doubt they are available easily in local market. The drive, comfort and ride was simply awesome on Marangoni and they weren't that expensive either.

Oh wow another tyre company I haven't heard of until recently and in this Marangoni until now. Never had heard of Continental until I went to a car shop in Islamabad and he said put there's and I was like what in the world is Continental, such a stupid name, and then I find out who they really are eventually impressing me most importantly in the area of braking distract drastically improved in the 8th gen.

I'll research on these Italians as well, must be pretty good as you already say so. But one issue does come in these hard to find ones is that for instance one of your tyres is damaged beyond repair (which does happen due to our beautiful roads) then finding a spare is going to be quite the challenge.

      Marangoni Verso available in 215/55-16
And about the valid point you just raised. I will ask him if that will be possible. And first I need to ask him Marangoni availability in the first place. Don't know if they will be available or not. But he arranges fresh tyres only

Unfortunately. Maybe some slight mod, just slight as mentioned earlier in this thread somewhere maybe by @arkhitekt. HP remains the same since the 8th Gen.

No bro...with new cvt transmission and chassis...10th gen civic will give upto 1-2 km/l more mileage then previous civics...averaging around 13 km/l in city.

"Expected average" hoping the lesser weight compared to 9th Gen Civic and CVT combined contribute to the cause.

Yes it is possible... 9th gen can also do 12 if driven gently.
