this is going to be a slow project because I am doing various restorations at the same time....with a full time job/business to look after as well. The current projects as per priority are as follows:

Ford Model A 1928 - nearing completion
Volkswagen Split Window Beetle 1951 - 60% done
Triumph Tiger 100 1939 motorbike - 70% done
Volkswagen Split Window Bus 1958 - just bought and work started
Chevy 3100 pick up 1953/4 - engine dismantling took one month as everything was jammed...its with lathe guy and as soon as I get it I 'll overhaul it with new parts which I am sourcing these days.
BSA M20 1941 with side car - motorbike. - 40% done

repair work on going:
Fiat 500 - exhaust manifold studs to be replaced, engine has to be pulled out for this
Austin Healey - carbs tuning - kits arrived from UK and front suspension
Lincoln Continental - electrical work + minor patch work and paint touch up
Citroen Traction
Ford Mustang 1965 - self being repaired + steering box to be repaired

So this is a lot of headache coupled with time and money restraint

no, don't sell. part of my collection that God willing I shall pass them on to my son Inshallah!

the last Mustang that was sold was a 1966 hardtop in good condition for 19 lacs....the new owner then spend a few lacs on it. A '65 or a '66 convertible could become available between 3.5 to 4 million.

A 1957 Bel Air project car just got sold for 7 lacs. A guy is asking 6 lacs for a 1956 Bel Air project car.

Goodluck to you sir and this would be one hell of a ride when done but I would suggest to have an extremely close look at the condition of frame regarding the rust. It seems to have taken years of abuse and when done, this would no Caterham so better check it regarding its strength... Thumbs up

thank you for your comments but you are absolutely wrong in saying this. You have no idea what benefits your heritage brings the country......

what do people do when they visit European countries like London, Paris, Rome etc....they take pictures of their heritage buildings. Millions of tourists go to these countries precisely for the heritage beauty. We have been unfortunate that 98% of the people in this country think like and you and never paid any attention to our heritage.

On economic front, this kind of activity attracts foreignors who would eventaually start visiting us to not only see our heritage but also participate with us in our classic car events. A few years ago I had over 1000 people interested in coming to pakistan to see our cars and drive around with us. In different groups ofcourse. One such group of 50 Europeans came and spent 10 days in Pakistan. When you have visitors from foreign countries it hels your economy as they use their money in your country and contribute to hotel bookings, laundry, shop keepers etc.

If I wanted to take advantage of this activity which you have called 'fazool' I could have made millions but for me its only a hobby and nothing more. Because of this hobby and our club, Pakistan is projected as a friendly fun loving nation to the outside world.......the rest of the 98% project the other side of Pakistan which is killing, bombs, rapes etc.

It is not fazool my friend......

great work keep it up. by seeing the condition of the engine i would suggest you to go for a engine swap with toyota's powerful engine and make it a muscle truck. but of course the final decision is yours.

my passion is restoration and originality as much as possible. If ever I swap the engine, it will be a Chevy V8.....the truck will be a lowrider with maybe matt black finish with steel finish mag rims

the grill will not be chromed but painted....originally it was painted. Bumpers will be chrome. I am looking for the right man to start work on the body.....2 denters are interested.....will decide soon.

Dont you think Matte black would be a dust magnet and very hard to maintain in a place like Karachi?

That would be a tough task I reckon and you would need a quality Denter...but then again I am sure you would know a handful of them. Low rider with a hydraulic shocks...that ought to really be one of a kind.
