The cooling is reasonably fine with serpentine condensor. i just had to adjust my expectation from the cooling system.

why not retrofit a PF condenser?

The PF condenser will work really good when the brunt of summer hits.

Sir the PF condensor is multiflow condensor?

if that is the case, are there any other components which need to be changed along with condensor. i believe gas will need to be refilled too.

MF has two pipes in parallel on the sides of condenser:

the sides are covered....inside design is same...its serpentine... you can tell by looking at fins too

bhai...r134 is backward compliant with R12 equipment...so its not wrong to use r134 with serpentine condenser however, multi flow is recommended for R134...

On the contrary if they will use R134a with Serpentine type condenser, the cooling will NOT BE GOOD either. Because R134a should use with PF/MF type condenser.

i have an old ride as well. it has serpentine condensor and associated equipment. its filled with R134 and R134 compressor oil (last time when i got the AC system serviced). Yes it has an additional fan on the serpentine condensor.

cooling is reasonably good. (borderline perfect - i would say).

so you can continue using your current condensor. fill in the correct oil and gas amount as per recommendation after vacumming.

It should work properly without issues.

Depends on how good is condenser.. a condenser with bad /blocked fins and reasonably done with life will also make huge impact on performance...wont perform upto mark specially in summers when its needed

R13a will work just fine on these as long as they are in good health...if someone need to replace condensor as old is not good enough....MF/PF retrofit will be pretty good option as long as you are willing to spend on it time money and brains
