Alto VXR 2008 - my first company car

I was interested at first to get its things up to mark which is why i was looking to install new seats... For now i have stick some foam cut outs myself on the seat to balance my sitting position, And thinking to keep it like this.... I have lost any single interest to keep this car in tip top condition but to just keep it running condition... This is the worst car i have ever got to drive and own.... I wonder how people who bought this car new with their own money, kept this car in good condition.. this thing is a money pit followed by a head ache.... Salute to you for keeping it for 10yrs, while i cant stand it for a second even, but have to due to office.

Yeah for oil, will get it changed at 3k now

AC is fine in morning and evening on my regular home-work-home routes, and at night.. any other times its shit.... RPMs are fine now, the only things that's somewhat ok in this car.. giving 11\12 avg in winter and 10 in summer with AC.

Nothing more can be done about steering, other than to install PS, which company isnt agreeing on, and i aint gonna spend my money on this crap car.. so have to live with it

agar new seat chahiye it'll set u back 10k+ if u go for Alto/KEI similar seats. Cushioning will be few grand only.

i got mine repaired + seat covers for almost 12k from Johar Town lahore for Swift : ( in 2021

every abused car becomes a money pit,
the car is not to be blamed but the previous owner.
You will once have to spend time and money on any (ab)used car to bring it into your desired shape and condition, be it mechanical or cosmetic.

My cousin has a 2011 model Alto, bougt 0 meter, still smells and feels like a new car : )
he is running it on LPG, getting 17-18 local and 25-28 highway mileage : )

you are getting the best mileage.

dont get frustrtaed, the problem is with how it was previoulsy maintained.
bear in mind, whenever u get a used car, there are some hidden and some visible works required to be done in the car and it all depends how u want to have ur car. i have seen ppl who buy used car and dont bother to do a single penny work until the car dies or being sold to the other users making the car PIA for the next buyer. Plus the remaining abuse is done by our hero mechanics who have no pain for our money and car.

Yeah.. the previous driver used to abuse it alot and cheap on maintenance, despite being company maintained

It had only 94k when I got it, with its engine being overhauled once at 84k only due to oil pump death... 2nd engine overhaul came in my time at 96k due to same oil pump failure issue lol

Since my company is not interested to spend on it, then I won't push either... Will just push to get essential things done.

i think the "company" has been cutting a lot of cost on car's maintenance : /

OIL pump is one of the main parts which mechanics neglect while doing engine job and it fails later making all the effort vain.

now u have the car, maintain it and keep it as "amanat" of company. you will surely get rewarded.
as for the kharacha is concerned, 6 month back my relative had the engine overhaul job from some cheapo mechanic in 25k just to save bucks. that engine lasted only for 6 months and then last week i had to get the engine job done of same car from jameel autoes, it costed 80k including labour, parts, head job, rings piston etc, new radiator, water cooling system restored to original specs. carb repair, alternator, still some engine parts were reused as they were ok.
coolant used, thermo valve and auto fan installed. The previous mechanic had changed the original carb without their knowledge and put some repaired.

this is what happens when ppl try to save money and get mugged by these road side goons.

New tyres in... General 145\80\12...only stock tyre allowed by our company.....tyre noise reduced a lot, but engine noise is now more audible and annoying...🤷🏻‍♂️

bhai it always happen. when u go to mechanic and get some work done. one noises goes out then u start hearing other noises which were masked under the previous noise.

aur waisey bhe, alto engine have a noise which is felt inisde the cabin. if ur engine have extra noise, do inspect whether its due to its siencer, manifold, or head noise.

Everything is fine mechanically...

I just increase volume of music or shift earlier.

I wish it had rpm gauge so i could know which rpms I need to stay on for less noise.

Right now its not even that much sunlight in Karachi, but still the shit AC wont work at all... Keeps tripping, then for 5 mins doesn't switch on at all... Then switches on and after 10 secs again off and then bye bye AC.....this all happens only when sun is shining on top, be it cool sunlight of winters even... just allergic to sunlight i guess.

Why is this happening what needs to be done?

I bought another similar gauge from daraz and it has these wires... My electrician installed it in the car, however only its light is working but not the gauge.. apparently its not getting pulse frm distributor wire..

Is there any specific\proper connection that need to be made?
Can anyone guide which wire connects where so that I can tell electrician accordingly.
