ALTO VXR, Cultus or Santro Club

I need an advice as currently I am undecided between three models of cars, one of which I intend to buy in the near future. I am getting conflicting opinions from my friends about the following three brands (Models ranging between 2003-2006)

1. Suzuki ALTO VXR
2. Suzuki Cultus
3. Hyundai Santro Club

Basically I am looking for a cost effective car, which has good suspensions, so that driving doesnt become too tiring on Peshawar's bumpy roads, gives good local mileage on CNG, has good factory fitted AC in terms of not putting too much wear and tear on the engine and the availability of spare parts. ( I have heard that Santro spare parts are not freely available or that may become quickly obsolete as new models are being introduced.

People say that its a matter of personal preferences but my deciding factors will be those discussed above. If anyone has a better choice than the above, kindly let me know

I live in Peshawar and PW friends from Peshawar can also guide me to reliable market for searching and buying the appropriate model.

go for santro air/conditon is also very good.who says that spare parts of santro is not avalible.in every case santro is better than alto and cultus.

Go for Alto who have resale vlue, cheap and easy available spare parts, east mant. mechaniz availability every where and best thin is that
a good ecnomical car

Never go for Santro. Sucks on Petrol/Gas. Go for Cultus. Cultus is best.

That all sounds very conflicting. I would appreciate if some one side by side compares them in terms of suspensions on bumpy roads, mileage on a 50L CNG Cylinder, and AC Performance with effects on Engine Life.

I am a proud a 2006 Alto Owner. Allhamdoulillah, it is running perfectly so far. Never disappointed me. I am using it as my daily runner, and my daily running amounts to 100-150KM. The suspension is good for bumpy roads but still one needs to be careful. The AC runs perfectly on CNG and the mileage i get with AC in city is around 110-120KM/cylinder. This mileage rises to 160KM in city without AC in winter. It has 56K on the ODO and it is still going strong MashAllah. I'd prefer it over cultus and santro any day. In case of cultus, i m not much of a fan of the seating position and overly soft suspension (suspension of alto is adequate). In case of santro, it doesn't hav much resale, spares r costly and a little complicated for local mechanics.

Seems like one one on this forum has any idea of the suspensions comparison of these 3 cars, or perhaps no one cares!! If one drives all these cars on a bumpy road which of them would give a much smoother ride??

Ok fine, seems like more votes for Santro. My mind is now also in favour of Santro. But a few important questions remain to be answered. Since the Santro has been discontinued and perhaps new models have not been introduced since 2009, therefore which model of Santro is the best in terms of durability, maintenance and spares. I have searched pakWheels and some people are of the opinion that it is too complicated for local mechanics and some components of engine are too much for the capacity of local mechanics so maintenance will be headache. Is it true?????

A little bit of detailed answer will be of lot help as I consider myself to be novice in this field.

Dear Bother,
ALTO,Santro and Cultus have been compared many times on PW anyways You ask for suggestions and one should answer your queries with logics and proper guidelines.Most of us just input what's suitable for us and what we own is also best for you.

Buying a car in Pakistan is strange because very small proportion of people can afford to have cars and most of us consider it as luxury.
Due to increasing automobile prices we get really conscious before buying
which is justified.

Few things you should consider before buying

1. The amount I am spending worth it or not
2. Can I estimate the expenses after you buy the old car for fixing because no one is gonna sell it 100% mechanical perfect vehicle.
3. WTB resale need cash right now can i sell it in few days.
4. Do I really like it's shape or color coz at the end of day u won't be satisfied if u made wrong decision.
5. Do you have expertise or experts to identify or inspect car condition mechanical and body wise.

Model 2001 - 2006 not including efi cultus

When ever we do competitive analysis of certain automobiles vote goes in the favor of one which earned more points over quality attributes.
such as reliability ,comfort,resale,performance,safety,economy e.t.c

Reliability: All of them can be reliable if mechanically fit.

Comfort: Depends on suspension condition lets assume all three cars
have recently done with suspension work.

            Cultus   is spacious(<font color='Green'>good</font>)  and comfy(<font color='Green'>good</font>) 
            Alto      is spacious(<font color='DarkRed'>avg</font>)    and comfy(<font color='Green'>good</font>) 
            Santro  is spacious(<font color='Gray'>bad</font>)    and comfy(<font color='Green'>good</font>)

         Winner:=&gt; Cultus

Safety: In my opinion none of them are safe coz they are lacking ABS
and airbags any ways

             Cultus has  average  road grip and  poor breaking (2)
