Xulfiqar bhai i have a prob with my honda city idsi 08 model
i recently swapped my car's engine from L12a (1240cc) to L13a (1340cc) because of the oil reduction issue. now the oil issue is gone but this weekend i went to Isl from Lhr via motorway. While driving at 130kmh with AC On, the heat sign started blinking. i reduced the speed to 100kmh then it disappeared. i checked the coolant , it was up to the mark. fans were also working fine. (Just our driver had mixed some water, 500ml or so, in the coolant in the reservoir tank )

on way back to Lhr, sign still appeared but disappeared when i reduced the speed. (now from 140k,mh to 120kmh without AC) i checked the coolant temp via OBD2 scanner, heat up sign was appearing when the temp reaches 119 degree C and disappeared below it. there was no issue in acceleration or radiator leakage.

about engine swap Swapped L12a with L13a engine only. ECU and all other stuff is still same.

@Xulfiqar well few days ago i gave my car to service station and i had to buy some stuff from next shop, meanwhile he washed the entire engine bay. It would be appropriate to say flooded it in detail. That time car gave no issue kept running fine no check lights nothing. Next morning i faced high Fast Idle. Then Later TPS code. Unplugged TPS and TPS code it went fine

Problem is Idle never comes down to 600 stays to 1100.

Cleaned IACV was thought to be leaky. Changed the Oring.
TPS is Fine no jerks whatsoever.

Do you think following is normal.
I close IACV Opening in throttle body and car comes to some 300 RPM. Does not Die. I close the Face of Throttle Body Car dies. What do you think could be the cause ? Yes I saw butterfly Plate and it was this tight that Carb cleaner does not makes its way to bottom. very very minute makes its way.

My Fast Idle is 2000 RPM now

NOTE: Sometimes intermittently after cold startup when car is getting warm car sometimes surged to 1500 RPM then came back. this was happening since a month

UPDATE:Opned the Throttle body and adjusted the IACV Solinoid and it comes to 700 at idle which is pretty close enough.

Salam, I am an owner of a gen3 3.2 DiD pajero. Over the past weekend, I took the vehicle to a mountain top in swat, towards the end of the climb, there were just rocks and mud, climbing was no issue, but on the way down, the vehicle refused to crawl in 4LLC, it used to move like any ordinary gear, had to decent using the brakes. Any idea if my vehicle has a fault or are all super selects like this? For the record, the vehicle is trip tonic and I had it in 1st

Xli engine is 2nzfe 1300cc 1nzfe is 1500cc engine first clear the confusion which one you need second what happened to stock engine that Mazda diesel engine refuse to die if I maintained If would have been in your place 1nzfe wouldn't have been in my list of swap for such heavy car

1nzfe is around 80k but it wont be 2015 forget that. But as saboor bhai said 2nz is going to be under power.

M112 engine will immediately shut down a misfiring cylinder if 4 subsequent misfires are detected and the code will be recorded for that cylinder. A shutoff and restart will startup that dead cylinder uptil the time it misfires again.

spark plugs are quite long life on this engine - they are 2 per cylinder, firing one at a time on cruising. But make sure not to put some weirdo plugs in there.

is this vibration actual misfire or a roughness?

3rd 350

Are these normal ? What are they saying about the engine health ?

@xulfiqar my e500 w211 is near to 100k kms on odometer. Should i replace transmission fluid? Engine oil was done with Mobil 0W40 and fleece filter with 10k kms intervals. What else too look for at this age.

yes - you should be changing it out. All of it, buy a case of Shell ATF 134.

these are poor numbers, 300 psi is the wear limit, valve job done anytime in its life. Did the engine run overcooled for part of its life?

about engine swap Swapped L12a with L13a engine only. ECU and all other stuff is still same.

sounds like your engine is missing its thermostat valve, check for it, If its there its most probably malfunctioning.

Shell ATF 134 is not available anywhere near me i guess i have to that MB 722.9 fluid.
