umm - when you apply this type of coat - the idea is to apply only to the body parts and not the removable frames, links etc, Because as it petroleum based it will readily eat out any rubber bushing, And thats the reason I like the 3M product, the spray is very controlled, and the best idea is to use newspapers to isolate suspension and steering parts. Spraying gently in 2 or 3 passes

Thanks for the additional advise, this paint is also done by Toyota in engine bay before putting in the engine, As far as i understood that it is rubbery Butain which is non reactive until u mix it with any petrolium product, After the evaporation of petrol it residue a rubbery layer beneith it. Thank u Bhai, I tapped the lower surface from both sides i feel dampness. The layer is about 1 to 1.5 mm thick depending upon curves, u can measure its thickness by pearcing key in it, it will not ruptured but show elasticity and come back to its normal shape after removal.

Tanveer Bhai .. It is always nice to do something with your own hand ... I just thought about the volume of one kg of this rubber ... it seems it is much less dense than the Dynamat Xtreme ...

Dynamat Xtreme comes in 1.7 mm thickness .. in order to similar levels of deadening efficiency, I think you should aim for about 3 mm thick layer ... Inside the door, space is very limited to work ... so it would be a challenging DIY

What i have planned, i will never sprayed inside the door, instead if that i will do th job by applying to the surface by hands and shape the layer with rollers, by this technique i can achive the required layer, i am thinkinking of pasting one kg in one door.

Exactly - and being mixed with petrol or kerosene or any petroleum distillate I would never let it touch any rubber bushing under the car - the time it would take to completely evaporate and the time it would take the bushing to impregnate itself with this fuel - would not be in your favour.

btw your car already had a nice thick coating, if you wanted a quieter car you would need synthetic pieces of waterproof carpet type material (the type fitted under the wheelwells in the new Camrys) and a close density foam on the floors inside the cabin like Mercedes Benz use.

Now, before you apply the coat to the doors, first step should be to "super clean" all the surface. The car has spent almost two years in Karachi, and you might have to work really hard. While some door parts are easy to access, if you intend to do it fully, you will have to reach out into blind areas. I suggest you should keep a torch with you ...

... and and make sure you are wearing clothes which cannot be classified as "clean"

If u intend to apply this anti-rust to the inside of the doors, then first clean them up with cloth soaked in WD-40. Dry it up and then apply the anti-rust.

From begining to the end i feel no smell, as it has no odour at all.

Tanveer Bhai ... last evening I found a leak in one of the wheels and went to the tyre shop to get it mended. I asked about the black compound that they use for mending the punctures ...

According to the tyre shop man, the roll of puncture compound costs Rs. 55 ... and it is about 1.5~2.0 sq. ft. It's consistency is similar to that of Dynamat Xtreme ... I suggest that you buy couple of rolls and a heat gun .... Its thickness appeared to be 2.5-3.0 mm ...

Madhouse and I had discussed this earlier, but then went for the costlier option ... since you are in DIY Mode ... try it on one of the body pieces. Just a suggestion.

since there's no real quality standards for these compounds, I'd think twice before using them internally. Smell and fumes are very likely side effects.

It is still a very nice idea (if there arent any side effects).
