no it will not fall under ten years category 8700 if you are filer and 13700 if you are non filer

Just a thought, if I pay token after Jan, 2016 then will it fall under 10 years category?

Last time year when i went to pay token tax at post office it was written on notice that only cars whose 10years are complete on 30th June will fall under this category. This year still havent visited yet so maybe rules may have relaxed but if they are not then it is full.

I could be wrong but I think if it is a new registration...the first token is included in the registration charges.

If isb registd. You have to pay the token again for year 2015-2016.You will get Revalidated Date on your book for token payment.Normally 3-10 days depends upon the officer.
U can pay it without any fine.
If punjab registd. you can pay it till 30th September without any fine.

Yes if you buy car after June 30 only then you do not need to pay token for that year. For instance you register your car in July 2015 only they they will recover tax till June 30 2016. But if you register before July 2015, you will have to pay for next year i.e July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016.
