I think, this 10w-40 is also a generic sticker, which Pak Suzuki affixes in every car.

Did you see? API rating is also old, i.e. SG and SM.

Current API rating for Gasoline engines is SN / SN Plus, which is mentioned nowhere.

Yeah it's generic, just wanna show that one has to pour geniune oil for the sake of warranty, it's clearly mentioned on sticker
Incase of cultus and wagonr you can say yes, you can claim warranty while using genuine 0w20 but incase of alto, no..

No official Suzuki logo on the sticker. Anyone could have printed and used that sticker. Let's see the warranty conditions too, if you please.

(It has already been mentioned that SG and SM are obsolete standards.)

Suzuki dealers have 0w20 in stock specifically for the 660 alto.

The 10w40 sticker is generic and is applied to all cars including bolan. Ravi and mehran

Yes they've 0w20, but it's not for alto

Pic I shared above, it's feb circular, all recommended grades are mentioned for each car, there's no 0w20, that's the reason now every dealership is reluctant while pouring 0w20
In short, yes paksuzuki has 0w20, but not for alto

Would you believe that the new 660cc alto fromt he assembly line is also coming with 10w40 in it.

Its not the Suzuki Japan but its the Pak Suzuki who has hired pakistani engineers to make these decisions who dont know JACK about this.

I spoke to the Technical Head in Karachi of Pak Suzuki and all he kept jibbring was that pakistan ka mosam garam hai sirf 10w40 use karien werna warranty void...I wanted to shove his engineering degree up his black hole.

Rahi baat dealerships kay technical staff ki, I spent 6 months teaching dealerships and alto customers that you are buying and installing WRONG OIL FILTER with WRONG PART NUMBER....Dealerships have bene selling WAGON R oil filter to alto owners.....both oil filters have significant opening difference .....one of the guys who got wagon R oil filter installed also got oil leaked.

I want to ask is 10w30 mineral oil good for a 30k kms driven car? Toyota dealership recommended me this oil .

there is absolutely nothing wrong in using mineral oil of 10W-30 grade for any reason whatsoever. Check for the SAE & API certification of the category & brand.

The only advantage in using synthetic oil is the detergent properties added during blending. Lubricant blending is technology within itself and has been debated number of times over this forum.

facelift grande 2018 model , i went to toyota airport and they poured 10w30 mineral oil which is called petron plus .

ok i was asking this question because the dealership insisted to pour this grade oil instead of 5w30 taglonx which is semi synthetic.

In my opinion, best suitable and recommended engine oil grade for your ride is 5w-30. 10w-30, and then mineral based, not good in my opinion.

If your car is under warranty, and you have to get everything done from authorised Toyota dealerships only, then unfortunately, you do not have much options. I would still recommend 5w-30, and preferably fully synthetic.

Else if, you are open to options and after market brands, the Total Quartz 9000 Future series 5w-30 is best value for money in my opinion!
