First oil change is at 5000k kms

Since 2005 this is my fourth Corolla and I have done their first oil changes at 5,000 kms

When assembler, manufacturer recommends first oil change at 5,000 kms it is fine. They can make it mandatory at 1,000 kms and make more money, but they don't.

All Toyota engines are pre-run at factory.

& as per USER manual the oil grade shall be southwards then what Indus is pouring into the new engines

I believe it is pouring nothing as the oil in new engnie comes from the plant where it was made and tested and obviously they do not test without engine oil, nor they may drain it.

I may be wrong.Just assuming when Indus say they do not make engines and transmissions locally.

their new name is MAL Pakistan, and they have started producing their own desi blend oils. no longer are they giving Mobil Oil.

we have held a batch of 3000 liters of Diesel Engine oil 15W40 at our field, supplied by them. they call it HSD GARD DEO.

even did not meet our technical specs, but seem to have some setting with our procurement dept.

opened a couple of drums to change oil of our CAT engines, and the oil was actually MILKY in color.

Toyota (and infact all manufacturers making econo-engines) do not pre-run any small engine, They are assembled with a thick assembly goo on bearings and shipped out. This is why the oil filter on a factory engine is unique and not available in aftermarket or even dealer (its the strange spongy media filter) - and all toyota engines are shipped with a heavy duty engine oil globally.

BTDT - on multiple assembly lines outside and inside of Pakistan. (Pakistani ones are a joke)

But when i got my first oil changed... filter came was similar to the one i got from dealership on oil change. Does this mean, that imc changes factory oil and filters while sending cars to dealerships?

ask for the old oil filter and open it up - you will see it.

I just had a rough look at it...didnt check in detail but apparently it was just similar..

It looks the same - its part no. is slightly weird, and is a bit heavier than usual too.

Toyota do not have time to test each engine - the assembly line will be backed up for months if they started testing each engine and an oil filled engine assembled on a frame rack to be mounted on a car is a hazard, thats why hose reels are on the end point of assembly line which fill coolant, engine oil, hydraulic oil, brake fluid, petrol etc.

I already use other oil, but now the question is on a new car throw away factory oil and filter on 1000kms check up?

Yes my car wasn't pre run. It gave 7km/l within city on day one and after run in its giving 12km/l. It is rolla 1.8 cvti. Yes filter was different and it was of different color too.
I changed oil at 2500kms initially. Factory oil in all toyota IMC vehicles is tailgone 5w50.

I would say 2500kms. Facelift model is somehow pre run as they are even claiming its fuel economy figures now. Before facelift there was nothing like run in, at least for a rolla.
