you can apply a little amount of ordinary grease.lithium grease is the best...

I'm not too inclined towards an m13 its comes in swift I think, if I swap it will be a g15 which is bolton and economic. To be honest, some of the rare times that the carb ran perfectly, this same engine turned out to be very responsive, if I somehow get the carb to run right I might forget about swapping.

The headbolts in the suzuki G13ba are not TTY bolts, ergo can be reused. however they must only be tightened with a torque ratchet otherwise you may damage the block.

For cleanup of that white crust - scrape it out and apply petro jelly like mentioned.

Overhaul the carburettor correctly, but first make sure the engine is top notch in tune, meaning tappet gaps are good, new plugs, clean PCV, etc - engine gets normal temperature - Once everything is in place then set the carby.

If you cannot find a replacement elbow at the moment dont worry - undo the bolts and remove the elbow along with pipe attached.

Best would be to get a new elbow - its not expensive either.

Today I couldn't do much, though asked the price for the genuine distributor cup from a stealership which quoted 1800 rupees (I have a feeling that it will be a kit consisting of both the arm and the cup. Its too expensive for just the cup).

Update: the second gear hichki is gone today, I refueled yesterday.

i ordered the cap, but please explain how the scratches in the cap can be harmful. and would i feel a difference if i replace the cap and rotor of a car after it has covered its first 100,000 km, i just don't get what happens that reduces the performance of the cap.

since the car had ran rich for quite some time, the engine oil was black sludge. this time we got what shopkeepers call khulla tail and we will change it after 1000 km, using it as a flush.

im amazed sgp oil filter was for 90 rupees while guard was for 180

the multimeter guy keeps me waiting.

today removed the radiator cap, kept the rpm at about 2500 for a minute, for some time the level stayed constant. when i left the throttle the level started to go down and i could see the mesh inside the radiator, it was just above it. but some bubbles were coming up. is that acceptable? and what i don't get is that why is the level going down when the gauge isn't at center and the fan has not kicked in.

i would like to check the wires of the gauge before removing the t stat valve.

raise the car on ramps then fill it up and recheck.

for the scratches on the cap, the rough marks of the sandpaper cause tracking in the cap which eventually leads to a failed ignition system.

Today I tested the coil.

Primary resistance: 1.8 ohm (probes on the two nuts)

Secondary resistance: 11600 ohm. (One probe on a nut and one in the socket for ht lead)

These primary resistance should have been 1.08 and 1.32 ohm.

The secondary should have been between 12700 and 17300 ohm.

Can it be fixed?
