Genuine denso through a true distributor (not alibaba denso) is the only good replacement for this type of hot wire MAF toyota uses.

Expect to pay close to usd 80 or 90 for it in wholesale.

Do not buy unbranded pieces of crap as they cause wrong signals and can damage the engine e.g. a wrongly calibrated MAF or a dying MAF can cause the engine to run very very lean under load which can cause knock and fracture piston rings and also damage connecting rod bearings.

Similarly a very rich situation due to a wrong/bad MAF can cause overfuelling and damage the cylinder walls and pistons rings due to petrol washout.

Toyota make excellent quality cars provided that you support them with genuine toyota quality parts, offbranded parts will result in a bad quality car.

sir guard has improved their product quality 100 times in past 5 years. our office suzuki bolan is using guard filters and PSO engine oil. It is a work horse and avg daily run is over 100+ kms between I.I chundrigar and korangi industrial area hardly any complaints.

small items like oil and air filters have very easy to measure performance and usage. I have found OE suppliers to a Toyota plant anywhere in the world provide good quality items.

What is this thing on fuel injector rail ? Does this go bad and how to check this thing working or not ?

appears like rail pressure sensor does it have a vaccum pod or a electrical grip over it ?

This is fuel pulsation damper, it absorbs the shock of the liquid fuel in the rail as fuel injectors close.

When it goes bad, you can sometimes hear it snapping. Its also checked with a fuel pressure tester, if your needle is excessively fluttering.

Ive had it fail in very unique ways too, one weird one was an acceleration flat spot when starting to accelerate.

There is one screw in middle of damper which is actually not anything for adjustment but gives you sign to be functional or faulty. This screw level gives you two things for troubleshooting, the screw positions normally downward while fuel pump off and its level up on fuel pressure , if such conditions not seems, means it’s faulty , it’s also tells you fuel pump condition. Healthy fuel pump sustains fuel pressure for while switched off and damper screw will keep level up at least for 15 minutes, otherwise fuel pump should be checked.

The screw position can only be checked in companion with a fuel pressure tester.

Check out this video and kindly inform what wrong with car rpm stuck there for there happened 2 to 3 times aftet releasing accelerator then 4 time it went behind 5500 rpm and went into next gear.

There wasn’t any check lights and MAF was 3.6 volts.
Is this fuel pressure issue or something wrong with injectors etc.

my opinion is that its yur fuel pump and fuel filter assembly issue. face same issue but not that extent in 1.3 city AT. fule assembly changed not pump issue resolved. check yur fuel filter plus pump

The fuel filter is clean And I gave changed the strainer which fits on the fuel pump. I have changed the fuel pressure regulator too.

then check throttle angle at minimum rpm you get while driving using scanner. may be throttle is not fully opening. this is my guess. or open air filter pipe and fully press acc pedal and see if throttle is opening fully at ignition on.
