I visited pso cavalry near my place... they were removing altron x banners n logos n going to put new euro 5 tomorrow. Fuel they said is expected in two or three days.

My Turbo's 40k inspection is coming soon. Anything in particular I should look out for? Don't want to end up paying 50k for no reason.

Suggest to take photos of the condition of spark plug, fuel filter, O2 senors, turbo etc for reference and comparison. For job scope suggest to check the manual.

Pso al rafay f/s is my mamo’s pump. I got euro 5 97 ron filled from there in my turbo today. Its available at most pumps but i guess not yet advertised publicly.

Do share results if you observe improvement in performance with Euro 5 RON 97

i find hascol fuel on motorway to be totally worthless. i once filled and my ride became so slow, i couldnt even touch higher speeds. car wouldnt go beyond 140 kph easily and consumed much more fuel. once i shifted back to fuel from my usual pump car became fine.

so culprit is fuel in your car case.

2ndly laser irridium ngk wont go anywhere until 40k kms anyway. just get them cleaned.

you can use proficar catcon cleaner (pouring it in with fuel in fuel line) before you go for a long drive might help with cleaning the catcon preiodically.

Is it safe to use fuel system cleaner in turbo?After replacing plugs, my mechanic recommended me to use it

I have used the HONDA ENGINE CLEANER once. The dealership recommended it. I doubt it would do much inside unless used at defined intervals and from the start to avoid any bigger deposits.

Although I was unable to identify correctly which pump caused this issue but my doubts are also on HASCOL as it is the only pump on M2 and also on M5 (at shah shams tabrez interchange, multan) and I have been using their RON 97 which I think has MMT beyond safe limits.

what about injectors .. did u check on obd if the volume they r dispensing is within limits

IMO it is one of the best fuel station in Thokar! the staff told me day before yesterday that they now have euro 5 standard fuel. frequent customer since 10+ years

Issue with injectors is highly unlikely as the fuel filter was in good condition. Btw which parameter on OBD shows dispensed fuel volume?

I hope more stations switch to EURO 5. Stations need a separate tank for it so most likely all the pumps currently having Alton X 97 will immediately shift to Euro 5 Hi Octane 97.

For a highway driver like me, I don't like HASCOL monopoly on the motoway. They sell crappy fuel with no other option.

I just had euro 5 ron 97 filled in my RS today from pso pump near dha gate lahore. Lets see how it performs ...
Btw is it necessary to change oul every 5k kms or you can wait till 7500km as engine timer suggests. Plus airfilter too?

Regarding oil change, I usually do it at 5000kms but sometimes it goes till 6500kms. I have found the oil life meter to be very handy in calculating the remaining oil life. I have observed that the oil life meter keeps reducing kms count even when the car is stationary and engine is running with A/C. So it is a very good estimate of oil life considering that it considers additional parameters like rpm and engine running time etc.

I would suggest to change when oil life meter shows 5000kms left just in case. In some cases it will reach 5000 earlier than you odo does 5000 and in somecases later depending on how you drive and conditions.

Air filter is condition based. I drive in dusty area so in my 18000kms, I have changed it 3 times. I keep one spare filter at home and change it myself when required.

You need at least 2-3 tanks to notice...

7500km is fine too.. change oil n oil filter both

Just follow the owners / users manual regarding drain interval. If it says to change after 5,000 Kms, then change after 5,000 Kms. Quite simple.

Yes change it at 5k interval. Honda has updated service bulletin for 5k oil change for Turbo. It was done within first year of launch.

Lol yes i am aware that its a normal fuel. I alrdy heard from some people that its giving better fuel economy. Will find out how ever with time..
