Still, the response seems a bit "Mubhm" to me.
What makes it unique? (Perhaps its ridiculous pricing?)
And what is meant by actual duties? By this do they mean, the duties which Toyota, Honda and Suzuki (the existing market players) will be paying while importing such a vehicle, or concessional duty as per ADP 2016-2021? which amounts to 50% reduced Custom Duty for first 100 imported units (please someone correct me, if I make some mistake anywhere).
Could someone explain what is meant by this? Are AIDP and ADP 2016-2021 the one and same thing?
And if it has not been imported under ADP 2016-2021 incentive scheme, then what's the fun? I am unable to grasp their logic.
And then:
Isn't it a bit confusing? And if they plan to introduce it later under ADP 2016-2021 special incentive scheme at a discounted duty, then why they did not do it for the unit at launch? And then further added to the insult and injury of the masses that all the units of Santa Fe have already been booked and sold. Would they mind sharing some stats as to who bought these at 18.5 Million PKR?
I think, that won't be enough. They must hold some small conference / meeting in which Pakwheels representatives and some from general public are there, and ask them questions face to face. May be this could help resolve the ambiguities a bit.
@fazalwahab11375 If you could help out on this? And make their logic / response a bit "A'am Feham"? (At least I could not get what was the fun if they did not import it at concessional duties? And give the benefit of reduced custom duty to masses? They imported at actual duties, and then sold to ... I do not get it.)
