I have asked this guy over and over again for a direct clutch drum for a u440 transmission as he said all parts are available new.

He never replies with an answer and says I need contacts.

The u440e is found in vitz 1.0

I agree you , Finding the parts of JDM can be as hard as some discontinued PKDM. examples santro/spectra/Sportage. Except Honda/toyota , even for newer KIA/Hundai models , there is no guarantee that you will get their spare parts after 5-7 years or 100,000 KM+. There is no hard and fast rule on this . Some one can get spare parts of 20 years old first 1generation Vitz but may be can not find the spare parts of 3 years old Ciaz/Vitara.

Today my nephew's Honda N one heated up so badly that its engine is siezed. Now no mechanic interested to overhaul the engine due to lack of parts. So, everyone is suggesting so called kabli garbage engine.

LOL, interesting conversation. We have a 2011 JDM 660 Alto HA25S with K6A engine in the family. Recently the car has been showing CEL so I scanned it with an OBD2 scanner and turns out its a P0420. It's O2 sensor is shot so I went looking for one at the plaza market Karachi one day and I've only come across used or " kabuli" O2 sensors with a 3 day checking warranty as yet.

A small inexpensive dinky car yet you still can't find a brand new O2 sensor readily available for it in the market.

I have bad news for you.

90% of times a P0420 is a bad cat converter.

Did you try asking this member @altisdualvvti for his special contacts that have brand new parts for all JDM.

You are probably right, the cat catcon is choked too. Lol, so far my only option is to replace both the catcon and o2 sensor with scrappy parts that have probably already done 50% or more of their life.

If the above member or any other JDM proponent could help me find a brand new part that would be genuinely helpful.

Every part can be imported if it's still made by their respective manufacture. 95% of wear and tear parts are available for these cars new aswell you just need right contact to find them. Using 660 since last 4 years and never had any issues with parts availability

There is a saying goes like " Dhoodne se khuda bhi Mila jata hai" Yeh to sirf parts hai. Contacts ban jata hai when you own one.

No one can overall your engine as to it's factory condition even if someone do.your car will not perform to it's optimum better to look for a used engine

You can get it imported if you want new sensor.

Let me tell you my car had O2 sensor cel replaced it with used one and I have driven 60k plus after that and everything is fine.

Please try to understand, the point of this entire discussion is that the spare parts of the JDMs are not readily available. It is a hassle to get it imported or search through a junkyard to get the parts you need.

On the contrary, local cars aren't blessed with this problem as one can head to the dealership if the need for a specific part arises.

Sourcing the spare part from the junkyard and tiring bargaining is NOT everyone’s cup of tea.

Hence, it is wise to purchase a PKDM cars if one is uninterested on doing all of the things said above.

JDM might be good, but PKDM is better.

For market cars like wagonR,aqua,Mira,move,vezel everything is available onspot but used. For new obviously you have to wait to get it imported. Somewhere you have to comprised incase of these JDMs for new parts. But then better bulid, more features, better drive quailty makes all the difference. PKDM is better in parts availability and that's it and all. by the way sometimes you have to wait for PKDM parts aswell.

So when a customer shows up to my workshop, i should tell him

"Dhoondnay se khuda bhi miljata hai"

That doesnt work except in lalaland, in real life, hard facts and tangible reasoning only works, and neither do quotes and sayings repair machinery/cars

Btw you still didnt share the address of the shop in Pakistan where I can get the parts I wanted.

Ok, so if you were a salesman for jdm and had oppurtunity to sell 600 honda acty van fleet and on other side was pak suzuki selling bolan to the same company.
