Yep sir all gauges work the electrician was too good he reworked to work manually

The rpm will keep showing you the wrong reading because the meter is made for an eight cylinder engine and you're running it with a four cylinder one. I'm facing the same issue. Let me know if your meter guy finds a solution for that. I've wired the cluster and only need the rpm to work right.

Ok didn't visit the electrician that day, well weekend mei 2 din miltay hein un mei janay ka dil nai kerta Anyways visited the guy that Mehroz bhai suggested. He says that you can get a sensor from sultan ka khoo and it works fine and according to him the readings are correct for RPM. That sensor costs Rs 1200/- Hopefully I'll visit sultan ka khoo this weekend for the meter will let you know if my RPM works fine afterwards

Well meter tau kaam nai ker raha but installed an android app for distance calculator and I believe its pretty accurate. Anyways On Islamabad Highway I am getting somewhere between 16-16.5 km/l. I think achi mileage hi hai waisay highway pay was hoping to get somewhere around 18 kmpl. But then again plugs wohi hein jo engine k sath thay, same with wires and coil. Hopefully wo change kernay say farq paray ga me hopes.

Well yar mei nay custom made cross bar lagwaya hai and gari kafi stable hai. Waisay strut bar b laga hua hai so don't know stability per kis k zayada effect hai, and I've had to change lanes at high speeds and the car was very easy to maneuver and it felt under control at all times.

man i am also engaged in restoration of a khyber, currently i am stuck with its speedometer and the buttons in its dash board, its dash board is also in very bad condition but i will some how take care of it. I visited lahore bilal gunj and the guy was asking for 15 ks for a meter and the buttons, have heard that these things are cheaper in pindi can you give me any idea about price of these two things?

I've a khyber meter if you want I can give you mine. Agar aap RPM wala meter lay rahay ho then shaid 15k ka hi ho waisay, it has to be the red colored one. Idher sultan k khoo mei GTI meter with red color wo 15k ka mil raha tha. My suggestion is to to go for camry meter its cheaper and easily available. But agar GTI ka mood hai tau mei pata kerun ga iss weekend pay. No promises agar yaad raha tau definitely warna I apologize in advance Buttons ka idea nai wo poochna hi paray ga.

Do visit my thread also (another khyber being re done) i have seen the condition of your car also. What did you do about the rust under body? From my experience i have learned that these areas are most vulnerable to rust and rust spreads from there. I owned coure 2002 got it painted in november 2013 leaving only its roof within two months its rear wheel arches paint bubbled up because of rust. (have sold that car now due to financial constraints)

For the floorboards you can sand the floor boards , after cleaning it throughly with a rust remover you can spray a good under coat paint or rust proofing paint

what you did was just cover up the rust, what you needed was to treat the rust first to stop it from spreading then coating with rubberised undercoat.

the purpose of the body wax is to preserve the fender - as moisture condenses from the inside rusting it out, The wax makes the condensed moisture (water) or any water just slide off the metal.

The undercoat is rubber based is only applied to directly exposed sheetmetal under the car, the fender is not exposed - it gets closed off by the plastic shield, but still moisture can condense there. All new cars have that body wax coating. Its the really stiff yellowish film that you find inside doors etc.

@mwanwar I asked about the khyber meter buttons from Pak Suzuki sultan ka khoo, they quoted Rs 50 for 1 button, might wanna call them up and see.

@owais_yunus Yar the guy said k RPM k liyae alag say circuit lagta hai. Rs 1000 ka hai. Waisay wo circuit banda khud b bana sakta hai kafi chota sa circuit hai and its made up of stuff easily available on college road.

So I calculated the mileage with the top up method and got a shock. Previous readings of 16.5 km/l were extremely flawed. Actual reading turned out to be 13.36 km/l on high and it was a shocker. Sara mood kharab ho gaya yeh daikh ker. Well visited the mechanic and he said k engine as it is fit ker dia tha didn't even open a single bolt. So turned out plugs farigh thay yeh sunn k bari khushi hui

Yeh halaat thay plugs k black and sooted, lets see what the mileage turns out to be now. Fingers crossed

Ok now I need suggestions about suspension. CNG cylinder b nikalwa dia hai tau abb gari peechay say bohat oonchi ho gai hai. Suspension k roughly cost kia parr jaye gi? Low kernay k liyae shocks b different use kernay parein gy ya phir stock shocks pay simple lowering springs?

Take out the plugs after running it around 200km and see if the new plugs are black too. If they still are, the engine is running rich.
