LJ78 - 1991 Land Cruiser

You sure about it? I have a dual battery setup on 1kzte, yet the electronics (lights etc) on it are 12v. Even the voltmeter in the dash shows the range 0-18v

Same is with my LC. That is why I was confuse too, "If its 24v than why Needle in dash goes up to 18 and stays between 14-16".

Anyways I need to learn a few basics from my electrician

What the electrician told me that some toyota jeeps have dual batteries just for starting the engine. So its 24v for startup otherwise its 12v system. Maybe he is right

The LandCruiser turbo diesels have two large cranking batteries to start the engine. This is due to the large current required to start these engines, especially in cold conditions. Once the engine is running system is run over 12 V while secondary battery is also charged. In some cases 2nd battery is connected to optional equipment circuit i.e ice box heated seats winch etc etc.

Yes thats true. This is what I heard as well.

A few bits are cheaper and a few are expensive than LC80. However initial cost is way to low as compared to LC80. Plus main advantage is its size. Size of this vehicle is compact which makes it good for city and off roads.

it use to be around 10lac and than it jumped up to 13lac but due to price hike and expensive parts in normal condition will cost you between 13-15lac. However, good conditioned and well maintained vehicle would always be over 16/17lac.

No its not necessary to change engine if the one came with vehicle is working fine. Just buy and enjoy. However you must change all lubes and get its suspension done if it needs any work at all

No brother it doesn't have dual AC. That is big disadvantage

My LJ 5 door has an issue of so called "Jhool Marhi Hai" what could be the cause. Chnaged the springs from soft to Hard shock absorbers are non electrical new mechanic said "is model main yeh masla ata hai" front suspension is harder then rear side. I need help regarding this issue. JazzakAllah

I never have this issue. vehicle was bit soft when I purchased it. However, not anymore. I did change stuff which can be seen in this thread. Shocks, springs, Hockey bush etc etc. Every thing brand new and original.
Hockey ke bush chk ker lien as you said everything else have been done.
