Sadly these 21ers doesn't fit due to extension. I dont know if I have to lift vehicle and unmount all 19mm together so that rim sets free and move to let extension of 21mm to settle in.

make sure the wheels have the correct corresponding seat for the lugnut - do not use flat washer lugs with taper seat wheels - You may die

Bought 5 Door (1991) LJ78 (boley tu, PRADO). I am planning to keep it as per factory specifications. However, building it to meet all challenges of recent times.

Original parts replaces
1. front springs
2. All four shocks (Toyota)
3. All 12 bushes (Toyota)
4. Lubricants i.e Transmission, Front Diff, Rear Diff, Power steering, Break Oil
5. Manual Hub Lock
6 Rear Springs with addition 100kg (approximately) lift capabiltities
7 Under body treatment with Rust-oleum (Rust reforcement and Truck Bed paint)
8 exhaust painted with Rust-oleum High heat primer and paint

Very true. I won't risk life or actually lives. I chose these 21mm cuz I thought it will serve better. However, as they are not doing the job they have been replaced very next moment.

I have done Round trip from Rawalpindi to Chiniot than Lahore via Motorway and than back to Rawalpindi via GT road. Motorway to Chiniot road was in worse condition. Speed was under 40km/hr.

70% of the trip was done with Air-conditioning On in busy city traffic of Chiniot & Lahore as well as on motorway and G. T. Road. Average Motorway speed was 110. However, i didn't keep static paddle to let EGTs down and in limits.

Engine oil is still full and Coolant level didn't drop.

Alhumdolillah, everything is in Good shape and condition. 1st trip of around 1000km (plus minus) went very well. Alhumdolillah

1KZ give 6 & 8km/ltr in city and on long respectively. Sadly consumes more fuel than other 3000cc engines.
Even 1HDT series is better in fuel

Sadly true. I wonder why people love this engine. May be because of speed, thrill (torque) or just because Mechanic knows it better.

Otherwise, its thirsty and it cracks head easily.

It's pretty robust, no headcracking issues. Head cracking issues are in 2lt and 3lt. People like it for being robust and torquey

Good to read that. However, what I have heard and read on international forums is concerning. Lets not concentrate on that and enjoy the beast.

I used to get 6.5 kms on highways. It's quite low, but i didn't touch anything. If you're getting 8, you're great to go!

Dear its dual battery. probably 24v. I am OK mechanically and worse with electronics.

Yes dual batteries mean 24V.

You sure about it? I have a dual battery setup on 1kzte, yet the electronics (lights etc) on it are 12v. Even the voltmeter in the dash shows the range 0-18v

Yes. Me too. 2 batteries in 1kz 1993 LC and everything is 12V.
