Oil Change interval in Pakistan is a SCAM

Dont buy Local Oils such as Toyotas, Hondas, Shell, Caltex, Zic, Rimula. because the all oils are manufactured in Pakistan and they are very pathetic. You will watch your self what they will do after 3000 kms . The Color and viscosity drops like hel. Please buy Liqui Moli from Some importer as they have their own dealers ships and u will watch ur self the oil wil run more then 12000kms . I my self use this oil and it runs amazing. The local Mechanics recomend you oil change because they check viscosity and color which is ofcourse changed due to local manufacturing so they recomend you early change. Also they so called local Synthetic oil of Toyota runs only 5000 kms which is a doubt on its quality. So just use German technology

With so many wannbaes around I seriously consider buying some shares ( I wish I could but "dil bhelane ko khayal acha hau ghalib") in some of these local brand (brand othee than oil like guard filter etc too)
And start filling defamation cases on such people easy money

However, I would also like to add that even though the oil itself is engineered to last the prescribed interval through a wide range of operating temperatures, driving conditions in Pakistan are what is is typically described as extreme - lots of stop and go, very little steady state cruising, extremely dusty air, and often adulterated fuels. Dust laden air and sub par quality fuel, especially, are a real issue as contaminants from them will get past the piston rings and end up in the oil. So even though the oil may be fine for a few more thousand km, the contaminants swirling around in it will cause premature wear. Most automakers recommend shorter oil change intervals for dusty conditions for this reason. While keeping the air filter clean is a no brainier, I would even recommend operators change the oil filter twice for every oil change if they want to drive the oil 10k km or more. However, for most non-gearhead types not consumed by this topic, an early oil change is simply cheap insurance.

The Ministry of Economy announced recently that all cars must be serviced at every 10,000 km, effectively banning the 5,000 km intervals that several Japanese-brand car dealers follow, something that consumers have effectively thought of as a rip-off all these years. The decision was made to “uphold consumer interests.”

According to the new ruling, manufacturers and authorised car dealers have until the end of this year to comply with the decision.

Currently, very few companies follow the 5,000 km service intervals, namely the major Japanese-brand dealers. Most European and American brands already follow service intervals of 10,000 km or more.

Woah dude j think 20k is very extreme interval. The final possible max is 15,000 km if your 90% trips are motorway or any long routes. Some people say cars heat up more on motorway which means they are using Mehran and Cultus whose engines are based from previous century and they have no experiments wether they can go for 10k oil changes even with full synthetic oil . Cars with redesigned engines from 2007-8ish onwards use full synthetic oil that can go higher intervals.
Newer cars however have better cooling than before and are much efficient . They may heat just ever so slightly than normal but they are in within range of normal operating conditions. Also there is less idling.
Example In city normal cars go upto avg of 40 km consisting of idle time and frequent hard braking avg rpms of about say 2500rpms.
On motorway and even possibly on GT roads you are traveling at avg 100 kmh at avg rpms of 3000rpms but with less idle time and not so hard brakingYour engine basically has to spin more times per km to get to a destination in a city vs long routes.
This is why you can go 15,000km instead of 10,000km but plz dont go beyond

Everywhere else fuly synthetic has higher drain interval.. minimum 7000 miles... Which is close to 10k km.

try 40 litres for the motive engine - that makes more sense, 10 litres is usually the peter/donkey engine in the rear that runs the A/C.

btw - 40 is still on smaller side, volvo ones are usually 75L total for tropical area build with twin oil filters
