Basically i always refuel my cars the moment fuel tank light comes on. Because i always buy full tank of fuel and have a habit to calculate fuel avg everytime.
Its mostly a desi theory to never drive the car on last 1/4 tank which is to some extent very true because you never know when was the last time your local fuel pump cleaned its underground tanks so there can be dirt and God knows what not in the fuel injected in your car....so that sits down to the bottom of the tank and gets pushed in to the system when you are in last bit of your fuel tank.
But.
I only use Attock petrol pumps in F-11 which are just behind my house for all my cars, both of them are company operated pump so they car standard procedure of running the station which includes calibration of machines at every time clock hits 12 noon & midnight and also clean their tanks once a month which are burried underground. So the firm believe on quality of fuel and the place you are getting eliminates the earlier mentioned Desi yet logical theory.
