I drove the ags last weekend, it was a new car, hardly 50km driven. There is an immense lag in gear shifts on light throttle, does this stay that way or does the lag reduce after some running?

My AGS also delivered last week, i had similar observations initially but now i feel it reduced and quite easy in shifting gears. Car is 300 KM driven only but i guess its psychological as i am now used to this new AGS transmission.

My overall conclusion is that its not about transmission but its about how we drive it coz i have civic x and when i initially drove the Alto i felt that if there is any issue with the AGS but the issue was actually with the way i was handling it.

Consider it manual transmission and let AGS change manual gears for you

Manual gears are shifted like this by beginners, and that can become quite frustrating at spots, thank you for the feedback, will await what others say as well, then make a decision

Yes there is lag but not enough to cook haleem. Bro, once you learn 'clicking"-movement/timing the foot its pretty easy. Rest it's a tidy little package. Especially the power steering and brakes are very decent.

The thing is, AGS is a semi-auto transmission which has been offered mostly in performance cars around the world since it offers maximum control over tranny as compared to conventional tranny or CVT.

If you mimick the gear shift via releasing the accelerator, it sort of lets it breath and it changes the gear otherwise if you push it hard it changes the gear with a delay, for pushing it hard manual mode is recommended.

Thank you, this means it needs someone who is technically sound to drive in all scenarios. I don't think I would be comfortable letting a lay person drive it

Asalam o Alikum guys I have bought second hand PKDM Alto but it is not giving me fuel average more than 13 without AC. What could be the reason? Engine oil and Air Filter is changed in June 2020.

1- How much is it driven?
2- How are you calculating the average? Did you reset the "avg" value in the cluster and then calibrated it for a trip?
3- Which engine oil are you using?

If your car driven at home. With gears 1 and 2. I think its the best average you are getting. If driven any where on a longer route ie kh e shehbaz in dha, shahrae faisal, sea view do dariya type roads. Even if you stand on the accelerate it can manage 15 kmpl. If driven tameez se it goes up to 17/18kmpl.

20/22 kmpl is probably motorway average.
