There only advantage on first early engine oil change at 1000-2000km and after that every 4000-5000km since a car engine shred metal the most in first few thousand kms.
0w20 is the right choice for tiny R06 engine.

i am using 5w30 Total (2.6l) in my VXR alto from F-6 Islamabad pump. ODO is now on 24K plus. getting avg around 23.5 Km/l with in city.

Dont be tempted too much. For e.g my alto never gave me anything beyond 16.5 on local with ac and without ac up to 19. A lot depends upon your road conditions and area where you live in. My area is so congested that i cannot move beyond third gear or second gear with lots of breaking and changing gears in between.
I have another hunch i might be wrong but seeing here it seems VXL to give better average than VXR.

16.5 plus in congested area seems excellent as mine is giving same but in Islamabad surroundings where mostly it remains in 4th or 5th gear, its a AGS driven only 2500 km.
How to improve it? Which grade oil u r using?

I am using 0W20. Mine is driven 6000kms approx.. I changed my first oil at 2500 with 0W20 and in next week i will get my oil change again for the second time.
