Drove around 200km yesterday.
Observations:
1. On cold start, the car vibrated for 5-10 seconds but then it was ok yesterday. Today it started perfectly on first try on half self.
2. On highway, suddenly the throttle went unresponsive yesterday for 2 seconds, than it was ok. This was followed by vibration on idle (ac tripped too). This only occured twice yesterday through the whole trip. Hasn't occured today yet.
3. Before the rebuild, my car used to touch 120km/h easy with ac and 4 people on board. Yesterday i had to push the paddle more than required to reach 100km/h.
Overall, the car has become alot more consistent and reliable but i still want it perfect so gave a visit to Irshad today. He said he has seen everything on the computer and there seems no issue there. He will resume work after eid. Meanwhile, he has temporarily changed the oxygen sensor for me to see during eid holidays if that fixes the minor issues left. Otherwise, he said he will finally have to see what the old mechanic has done, if he has phased the engine block or not, and whether he has upgraded the pistons and what not. So we are very close but still not there.
Lesson learned is that never get your efi engine to a desi mechanic for rebuild process.
