Dear OP, great job! Went through all the post and ended up learning quite a bit about the jzs 171 engine along with all the issues you have had to deal with.
I am working on a similar project with the JZS 171 (auto), except I have put it in a 1968 Opel Rekord Coupe C. Using the original ECU, we have been successful in starting the engine, but over the weekend, the engine started running very rich. I think the AFM is blown and we are trying to source a new one locally. If by any chance anybody has a lead on how to procure it locally or from abroad, please let me know. We feel the ETCS-i is functioning properly, although it was a bitch to wire.
The second issue my guy says is that the we will have to source the original crown athlete V speedometer since that is the only way for automatic gear shift and the OD to kick in. It would be much appreciated if bothers on this forum could shed some light on this. Obviously installing the crown speedo will take away from the aesthetics of the Opel. if there is way around it, i would be greatful!
