Dude you are one of the few people who take good pics for their projects. Great restoration and work on the cressida. If going for more power do you plan on modding the suspension?

Thankyou for the kind words. I do plan on getting coilovers for the car, waiting to find ones that have the z32 big brakes on aswell. I'm not going to go too hard as this is my daily. Maybe also get a beefier sway bar for the front. A friend of mine has a torsen diff for this aswell so that will also be acquired soon

From my understanding a stronger front sway will cause understeer. Is the car oversteering more than you want? A torsen is great for gripping. Most people for lsds or locking diffs on rwd cars for drifting but the torsen provides the biggest amount of traction. Does it have stock brakes?

The oversteer is controllable, doesnt kick the tail out until I want it to, but its hard to mantiain ovesteer. It does understeer but that due to the tyre's I have on right now, on the Pilot Sport 3's she handles beautifully, and yes I'm still on the stock brakes.

If it is understeering already then dont get a stronger front sway bar. I would recommend a stronger rear sway bar for more oversteer and less understeer. But its also up to personal preference.

Well the front sway bar in the x80 control the anti-roll charecteristics, mine doesnt have a rear sway bar as it is a solid axle.

Oh its a solid axle. Installing beefier rear springs would be the way to go. If you only make the front harder it will cause a lot of understeer if rear is stock springs

I'm planning on finding coilovers for all 4 corners, if not then lowering springs on all four corners.I dont want a hard suspension as that defeats the purpose of the car

Yeah its a luxury car not really a sports car. We just have so few rwd cars here that when we find one people like me start thinking of performance

hahaha, well its hard to fight the performance bug, I've trying to control my emotions and not go full race car on it. I'm constantly battling between race car and daily sleeper

Well its already a sleeper. But think about it. 5-10 years from now on would you wish you had made it more powerful or you would be like thank god i kept it as a luxury car

Well I'm trying to get the best of both worlds, I have plans to go up to 400-500 hp on it and still keep it as a daily

Took some interior shots, love the 90's spec look. Driving at night in this is really a joy

So more parts have arrived from Japan. Some of them have been installed, others in the next few weeks.

Got these Cresta bumper indicators that have fogs in them, along with H4 specific LED headlght bulbs.

Also installed the door courtesy lights

Got a brand new gear shifter cover and switches

Also managed to source the genuine solar sensor for the automatic headlights

What does the MANU switch do?

On the stock cars it was used to hold a gear, I'm going to re-purpose it for MAP switching on the DET3 ecu or use it for the manual mode of the transmission

The car has been opened up again to start the next round of wiring. This will include wiring up the cornering lamps, automatic headlights and the gear surround buttons, aswell as tidy up some of the harnesses. I hope that this is the last time I have to open up the dash, but I have a feeling this isnt the last time.

Before the quurantine, I was driving around in the Celsior and when I sat back in the Cressida, I noticed thatt I was considerably louder than the Celsior, so to tackle that I've put sound insulation sheets on all the lower dash panels. Now its quieter but still not whisper quiet.

I'm also doing some experiments with the old broken taillights I have, lets see how that turns out.
