If only mixing and matching rear ends, trannys and engines was that easy in pakistan. Yahaan sirf 1jz 2jz 1uz aur b16 chalta hai, parts are taken out of cars and sold in shershah with no idea as to where they came from and what they exactly are. But then again i doubt 1jz 2jz 1uz and b16's are this easily available and cheap anywhere else in the world.

toy JZ and UZ engines are available cheap in most big junkers around the world - reason being that most countries emmissions laws are now very strict, any engine swap must meet the current or advanced emmissions requirements its replacing. this is where these engines fail. That is reason why our local junkers get them cheap.

I have sourced a great set of rims, they are still on a beetle in a junkyard , can anyone tell me what is the pcd of beetle as the pcd of this celica is 114*4 ...plz lemme know

PCD on the old beetle was 130*4
and by the look of the engine in the first pic u posted i am pretty sure its a 2JZ-FSE engine(exclusively with auto transmission) came in Japanese model crowns i think.
i am still amazed why didn't you go for a 2JZ-GE or 2JZ-GTE engine?

Its 2jzge ... Not fse , about 2jzgte: its a VERY Powerfull engine , and out of experiance i have learnt that to put that power down on the road is a very difficult job and it would take extensive work on the car to handle that kind of power. .. about 2jzge its 220 hp with 300 nm torque ::: more than enough for me and this car to handle

mazda FE DOHC TURBO is also a very nice engine... its torque curve is like a bucket spilling water - a 2JZ-GE torque curve is like a mug taking out water from the same bucket.

The bad thing about peshawar workshops is that they are closed practically two days a week :friday n sunday , on friday shoba is closed and on monday univ road is closed ... I hope to update you guys tomorrow ... Fingers crossed

depends .... initial cost and availability of RWD beams engine, availability of parts .... there is a redtop available but its for FWD and if something goes wrong (which is bound to) then no availability of parts ..........

Thats a very nice project ! . But i would have loved the GTE version in that . Doc Sb , still have time get the engine exchanged with the GTE . I am sure that you can polish your driving skill as well .
