Thanks dear...I am Obliged that you subscribed...As our family used to have Triumph cars for years ....The remains of last one was seen by my son ...who liked it very much...so I thought about restoring/ rebuilding one for him ...I believe that this triumph herald 63 will be the only original convertible....Lets hope that I may complete it ....

Some Updates in this restoration....We have reached the stage of cutting and welding now After making/ re manufacturing some big panels...so lets start with the rear end first....

This was the last pic which was posted ....Actually so many gaps come in between that I myself forget...from where we were...:)..

We chose to attempt and replace the above posted panel first of all....as you can see that it is a big and quite complicated panel tied up from all four sides....Outlines of the fabricated panel were marked first....as whole Panel was supposed to be replaced so a lot of cutting was required....

Initial cutting with welding torch and a big tip...

Another view from right side.....Notice a hole in the left side of the original panel ....This is where hand brake bracket was attached /welded....as it was made from I think 14 gauge steel and was hardly rusted ...so we decided to remove it from the original/ old floor and use on the new fabricated one ...

Left side.....almost detached....just to remind and add that this panel is one which is under the rear seat .....As this car is a convertible so all the strength of the body structure comes from the 'FLOOR"...
If floor pans of a convertible are weak and rusted ,One should expect a lot of rattling and a very noisy ride....So...No compromises...

Uataad zahid ....checking ,how much more cutting is required to take this panel out...

A little more cutting ...and the whole big panel is out.....

Now something "TECHNICAL" here....This piece you see in the picture is the Joining part/clamp which mounts body to the chassis...Its placing is very critical ....A few Millimeters difference and you wont be able to ,mount body on the frame ...As you can see that it is welded from three sides with three different panels .....We removed one upper panel but left this clip and the part of the panel (which was removed ) with the clip...to preserve its position....

So here we are ....The Panel under the rear seat removed completely.....
