i also believe 5k interval is justified for Alto, as we normally do lots of idling which also account for some milage.

Your choice. I drive my car locally inside islamabad. Have a clean drain plug at every oil change. Hardly any contamination. I occasionally drive the car hard to make sure the small engine doesn't suffer from condensation either and like I said, the quality of the oil even at 8k is good enough

About the ink experiment, you're comparing a bucket with different levels of water to 2 engines that have completely different guts and workings? You see where the problem lies in your Asaan Lafzon main explanation?

no, its correct, its only ur mind which wont accept it and will like to stand it point, and i have no issues with that either.

what i can do is, i can try and explain that one more time, i mentioned that MORE oil can contain MORE contamination and keep its lubrication capability to acceptable level! as compared to less oil which will have its lubricating capabilities comprmised with the same level on contamination.

Further more, there is no way one can judge the oil condition with mere visual inspection, these are the ways followed by ustaads of evey level.

I'm on a car hunt these days and can anyone confirm whether the 2019 VXR's stock headunit have Bluetooth? I checked out its modes and the "No BT" messages doesn't show up. But when I inspected a 2020 model VXR, its headunit did have that option. So, is there a difference between the two model years? Both had the same headunit, at least physically.

I want to install a decent sound system in alto. Is it possible?? Original speakers in front door aren't good enough. My only fear is that its doors inside panels rattle on high noise even with original speakers which destroy the peace of listening music. So is there any one who got installed better speakers??

I bought a 2019 Alto AGS.
Its 89k Driven.
Gear oil isn't changed uptil now. The seller told me on last visit Suzuki showroom checked gear oil and said it's ok change is not needed.
Engine oil and tunning is done by pak Suzuki showroom.
Most probably they put in 10W40.
Now i need suggestions?
During drive there is a jerk while gear shifting, which is very less by tapping method.( Releasing race n then acceleration to change gear).
Which gear oil to use?
Which engine oil to be used?
Is tunning from pak Suzuki necessary?
My concept is if i change oil grade from 10w40 to 5w40 or 0w40 it may damage engine as changing engine oil viscosity does so? Please guide?

What a joke. He is lying to you. I think he skipped gear oil change due to its cost. AGS gear oil should changed at 60,000km or 5 years whichever comes first.

For engine oil try 5W-30. It won't cause any harm. In worst case it may decrease oil. If that happens, try 10w-30 next time. But hopefully 5w-30 won't decrease.
Alto's recommended grade is 0w-20 but since your engine is slightly aged, that's why you should try 5w-30

For gear oil, use Suzuki Ecstar 75W. It may cost you 18,000 to 20,000 these days if available. It remains mostly out of stock since the closure of LCs.

I went to Suzuki dealership for an oil change for my Alto AGS 2021 model. My car went 40k on ODO meter. The car went to 40k inspection. For my surprise the plugs needs a replacement and there were no plugs available in the dealership and they were saying they are not coming from the company. However, after all the work i had to pay 37,500/- which seems to be very high. I had changed the front disc brakes, AC filter, oil filter, fully synthetic oil. They also cleaned the Catalytic and Throttle body with fixing the wheel alignment and balancing.

I want to buy Shell 0W20 but it seems like their flagship store is no longer active on Daraz and as for oil filters, I found this Suzuki Fort shop. Any idea if they really do sell genuine Suzuki products? I don't trust the online vendors. Anyways if you are using genuine air filter it will last at least 10k

Genuine air filter from Suzuki dealership is for 3300+ & AC filter is 4400+. I just got it changed couple of weeks back from Suzuki Falcon motors Sargodha.

Zic is good, but I like OEM Honda 0W-20 due to two reasons. It's API SP and costs much less than the market.
It comes in 3.7 liters packing. Alto require 2.6 liters. 3 packs of Honda oil could be used 4 times easily.
