You do have to replace the Clutch in the M5 if you increase your power output even to say, 600HP...How can the Getrag V160 which was designed for 320 HP coupe be fit for bigger HP's?

As the near-sighted boffin in the corner with the thick specs will tell you, it's not the HP that kills a trans, it's the torque. That said, the V160 trans is said to be rather under-used in the Supra, and could handle a lot more. The S62 has only 30 lb-ft more for 80 BHP than the 2JZ GTE in stock form and I would guess that the tranny would handle it without problems.
