Toyota corolls 2.0D 2c engine overheated

Previous owner used plain water, i flushed and serviced radiator and put coolant in the system alongwith new thermostat valve…but this thing is stuck
Can i source it in engines junkyards in peshawar? If its available i will buy another one
Last option will be its servicing and putting it back…

in 1st picture i see few washers before the lock nut
in 2nd picture i see a rubber bush inserted
in 3rd pic do i see correct the stopper lock pin is missing ?

you probably can source it from anyplace having such parts, but make sure it actually works by putting it in a pot of hot water to see if it actually extends - its literally a thermostatic piston

And where is stopper lock pin located by default?

And disassembling CSD from pump won’t do anything with pump?
I mean we can simply disassemble it? Or do we have to follow proper SOP?

Assemble the csd on pump opposite as you remove it, it has a lever to use a screwdriver shaft in to unload that plunger as you remove it.

Sir this thing (Ac race switch i guess) it wont come back if i turn off the AC, it advances rpm with AC but while turning off AC it still remains in this position…i manually disconectted it by taking out the pipe from race switch, it went back to normal and when i started car, idle rpm wasnt stable and when i turned on AC it advanced the rpm and then remained in this position while turning AC off and idle rpm was stable

Is it normal working of this device? Or it should go back while turning AC???

This is not how it works, it should release when ac shuts off, you probably have the pipes at the electric vacuum valve reversed.

Honestly, the engine doesnt even need this device if the pump and injectors are good. The idle control spring capsule inside the pump is more than capable of handling the load of the ac compressor.

So if i make the CSD working, then it doesnt need this thing for Ac and rpm stability?
Bcz without it now engine vibrates

CSD is for cold start only and will affect running if its stuck in cold state like yours but wont do idle speed control for ac.

The pump self controlling ac idle will happen if your pump internally is top notch, it has a load governor in it for idle quality - that governor is a spring capsule that only controls at 400 pump rpm and is highly dependant on the internal pressure of the pump. (It needs to be between 40-45 psi)

The pump self controlling Ac idle as you described (that load governor with spring) is it located inside pump or can we see and locate it visually while pump is on engine?

Actually he needs to know what is the OEM router depth.
only after that will the tooling come into play.

Also, the timing needs to be checked and ensured to be perfect before making such delicate adjustments.

That said, the depth gauge is 200 USD plus, along with the adapter.
Not sure if it is worth the investment.

The dialgauge adapter comes with a pin that is used to contact the rotor (not router), the dial gauge plunger contacts that pin and the whole thing is set to 2mm preload with pump near tdc to see whats what.

Your mechanic is trying to send you behind truck ki batti.

Btw you dont need to import such tool, you can buy dial gauge locally and have that adapter made from a precision lathe shop owner.

What can be the reason of hot start issue in 2c diesel, it starts in one pre glow even in december january -3 -4 temp,
But if i drive it like for about 30 minutes and park it, i come after 10 min it still needs one pre glow to start…what can be the issue?
Injection pump has never been ustadified, not opened yet..car mileage 125,000…no vibration in idling, a puff of black smoke
Coolant in place, thermostat valve in place but fan is direct

So how can i rectify this hot start issue?
Mileage in city 12, 13 with Ac , long 15 to 16 with Ac
Please have a look on my query….

And battery health.

Battery is new, and will check compression in some other city as no one with compression tester here
