well we can argue about this all day long and for everits very simple u don't have to ride in the bat mobile.and no one is forcing anyone to. we all have our choices and no one has the right to impose there ideology on anyone. v don't ask you to put nice expensive rims or bigger engines or super charge them.v all have our own places and as nasir bhai said 2 school of thoughts the enthusiast should also realise that my car is all vw apart from the steering column and have gone through a great deal of pain and effort obtaining themso lets all learn to live with each others thinking and grow together we are all here for the vw'z whether its restoring them saving them or modifying them
RegardsNadir
do u still have tht
Phew! I am glad cuz I have come across a super clean 68 economy that was chopped around the same time and I was hoping it wasn't you who had anything to do with that mutilation.
^+1... P.s. Enthusiast and purist are 2 different schools...

@nuic
Why dont you post few pics of your VW....

A couple of days back while going home I spotted a VW shell at a road side near my place. It was getting a Body off restoration. I asked the person doing the denting if he had done any VWs before. He said if he had'nt done it before he would have been standing wondering how to go about it and not removed the body from the chassis.....
@ Reezwan
I am watching out for that plus I was planning to sell my 74 Beetle. But now I am tempted to test this guy by trying him on my 74. Plus it also depends on what sort of quality you want from the guy like has not scrapped the car in the pics to bare metal but one can make him do that .... the important thing would be whether he is able to allign the doors properly and shape the fenders properly the rest he can be made to do ............and paid for it also.
@Reezwan
No not really. Fill me in on how to check the allignment of bulk head etc. Plus suppose the floor pans are completely rusted and the panel beater has to prepare new frame on which the body is mounted how is it ensured that the measurements are alligned with the body?
I have no hesitation in accepting that I am a complete complete novice in all the technical stuff.
Thanks :0I cant really make out from the pic where the white lines are ending at the rear end. Other wise thats a great piece of info. Please add whatever info you can on body work.
oops I dont know how the smiley turned out that way...
hey reezvan, you are absolutely right... this is same car and nice pictures you have got there.... rest thanks for the advise about engine, i will surely check it.... thanks
