Toyota Land Cruiser Overview

The 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser is the final facelift for the 200-Series Land Cruiser before an all new model comes out in a few years. The 2016 200-Series Land Cruiser features a brand new design with the same basic body shell shape. The car features a raft of performance and efficiency upgrades compared to the previous generation with a brand new gearbox and a cleaner more economical range of engines. The car is available in 3 different variants GX, GXL and VX.

The exterior of the 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser features much more restrained styling compared to the previous generation Land Cruiser. The front fascia gains a much more prominent grille that has three horizontal chrome bars running across it and two smaller chrome bars that intersect the new slimmer and sleeker front sideswept rectangular shaped headlights. The hood of the SUV now also incorporates dual bulges while the front bumper has been made to sit more flush with the body and features smaller more minimalistic fog lights compared to the previous generation. The rear features a new smaller rear bumper, the same chrome trim piece embossed with the Land Cruiser logo running across the new rear tube designed sideswept LED taillights.

The interior of the 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser features the same classic 7-seater layout arranged among 3 row of seats. The seats come as standard covered in a choice of either Black or Beige coloured fabric. Standard features on the car include seven airbags, vehicle stability and active traction control, 12-volt accessory socket, 4.2 inch multi information display, power windows and heated front electric seats. While the higher end variants offer features such as parking sensors, a 9.0-inch multi information display with satellite navigation, wireless smartphone charger, dual 10-inch rear seat entertainment system with wireless headphones, heated electric side mirrors, multi-terrain monitor, electrically adjustable steering column with 3 memory positions, dual-zone front climate-control air-conditioning, a rear cooler, 220-volt rear connector, electric horizontal-split tailgate, smart entry and start, reversing camera, privacy glass, leather upholstery with 10-way adjustable driver seat and 8-way adjustable passenger seat, 14 speaker 605 watts JBL premium stereo speaker system with aux and USB input with separate rear audio input, moonroof and a remote engine starter. The overall interior of the Land Cruiser is very spacious, luxurious and practical.

8-Speed Automatic Transmission

The 5.7 Litre 32 Valve Dual VVT-I V8 gives an average of 6 KM/L in city driving and 8.5 KM/L on the highway.

The 4.5 Litre 32 Valve Twin Turbo V8 Diesel gives an estimated of 9 KM/L in city driving and 11 KM/L on the highway.
