    Default Motorcycle Engine Oils

Aslam Alikum, Immediately seeing the title you may have said this oh not again again one more thread
for engine oil but guys please bear this one too purpose of creating this thread is to share the range
of motorcycle engine oils available in market and for this i want your valuable co-operation as i would
share engine oils & their pics which obviously will show the specification but i have access to only few oils
which i have used or which are available in my city
i can't access all engine oils so that is why i request all of you if you have used an engine oil or you have pics of
bottle you should share here & share your review about that particular oil
Your sharing matters alot as i alone can't collect all info about engine oils available in market

As i just said in last line of first paragraph your co-operation is important in helping me out
to collect info about engine oils available in market but also i need your help in Engine oils subject As i am not expert in Oils
if we search on net this subject is too deep so want to know your info about these important terms in engine oils
this thread will be useless if it does not have any details info about specification terms
so kindly if you find some good info on net share here

    *API
    *JASO
    *Viscosity
*SAE Viscosity Numbers 10w40,20w40,20w50 or SAE40
    *Single Grade & Multi Grade
    *Mineral & Synthetic/Semi synthetic
Etc notify if there are some other important terms

The Sole purpose of this thread is to collect info about engine oil available in market
    *Specifications/price & *Picture

^Sharing some basic info which i know as par my bike

API in simple word an company which gives certificates of quality to engine oil
so always look for this API label oil but some manufactures recommends JASO
But most motorcycle manufactures in pakistan as the big one
AHl recommends to use engine Oil with API SG,SF,SE or higher grade
you should look your bike manual for the details about your bike

Viscosity of oil is shown in the SAE numbers
most oils nowadays available in market are multigrade
first number which is followed by W (winter) shows the oil viscosity at low temp:
lower this number thinner the oil be at lower temp:
2nd number shows the viscosity of oil at high temp 100c: higher the number thicker the oil
20w40 oil will remain less thick at 100c as compare to 20w50
my bike manual says 20w40 is good all rounder for pakistani conditions
but depending on the temp user can choose which oil suits engine more

Now Lets Start Sharing Some Engine Oil Brand Which I Know Or Remember

    Default DYL Lube

API SG, JASO MA, SAE 20W-50, Mineral Based.
Used it mostly when i had Junoon as it was available in proper quantity packing and i was contented with its performance.
Used it multiple times with draining interval of 1000Km. At 1000Km, it gave the feeling of loosed viscosity and getting quite black in colour, thus justifying changing it at 1000Km.
Just found on thing little fishy about it. This oil is provided to DYL by Shell as you can see at the bottom of bottle. Now shell also provides oil to AHL. On DYL bottle it is mentioned as "JASO MA" certified, but on AHL bottles it isn't mentioned, kind makes me concerned if DYL Lube really is JASO MA??

You cannot trust AHL with that either.

Gull bhai yeah shell is providing oil to AHl & Dyl
bro Shell there own AX3 is also JASO MA certified

so may be on special demand of AHl they are not giving JASO MA to AHL
as there bikes are API SG etc & this is what they recommend to use

    hmmm, may be.
I think for grade SG and older grades, JASO MA doesn't matter anyway. SF/SG are safe to use in wet clutch environment even if they aren't JASO MA certified.
But grades newer than SG, like SJ/SL must be JASO MA if you want to use them in wet clutch bikes. This is because these newer grades contain friction modifiers which aren't good for wet clutch. So while picking up SJ/SL grades, must make sure that they are JASO MA certified as well.

Dear its really informative thread. But i think it will be good idea too also Add copies and counterfeits products available in market, as i hope many of us have experienced fake oils packed very intelligently. so how to identify the packing's and oil that its no 1.

    Liqui Moly Racing 4t--SAE 20W40 API-SG-SJ-SL

After experimenting on a lot of oils AHL,Caltex,Kixx,Shell AX5 i finally settled down on Liqui Moly

Reason:::Made in Germany/packed in Germany//Imported from Germany;;the most trusted oil company in europe with more than 50% market share.

One of the best qualities of this oil is that it never looses vicosity even after usage of 1700Kms,,The drain interval is dependent on the make/model,,FOr CD-100/Pridor 2000Kms( i drain it at 1500 kms)

Gear shifts are smooth,,reduced engine noise,,and in its price range good value for money

I have used this oil in the past although it is one of the best oils but its too viscous that is to say 20W so it can damage engine in winters during cold starts i think that 10w-40 should be used in winters and 20w-50 in summers
But as i said no doubt its a damn good oil

    Motorcycle Engine Oils -1242006

guys just yesterday i bought this oil for my bike pridor 100
as you can see there measurement marks given on bottle so believing on
them i filled round about 800ml just slightly lower than 800ml
but i was very confused i was consistently getting inaccurate oil level on dip stick
as asked for help from devilskreed but he is busy

Today at morning i tried to check oil level on different conditions first when bike was completely cold
got inaccurate low level than tried as recommended in manual
manual says start the bike let it run for few minutes & switch off bike ( bike should be on center stand)
after few minutes open oil stick & take out clean with cloth than insert it in hole to check oil level but without tightening
ya choori tight kare beghair than take it out check the level

Did exactly the same and again got the inaccurate levels i was very tensed consulted with mechanic friend
he said immediately fill more bottle marks must be inaccurate so don't care for them fill the oil immediately in bike
so came bike home filled the oil to upper level exactly & now i am more relaxed
bike was getting very hot with low oil mechanic also said that do you see how much hot is engine

So Bottom Line Is Guys I Was Betrayed By The Marks Given On Bottle
Screw AHl There Is Lot Of Confusion In Pridor Oil
From Now On Would Trust On My Eyes & Oil Dip Stick

Going to get Liqui Moly 4T for my CG-125 after Eid then
Never trust quantity marks on a bottle- Always trust dipstick.
Turbo lag is like foreplay. You know it's coming. And it's gonna be good.
