Hiking Trekking Trip to Ansoo Lake and Lake Saif ul Malook Via Mahandri

We are planning to do the subject trek in the 1st or 2nd week of June, 2014. Our Program is as follows:

Day 1. Move from Islamabad and Reach Mahandri and then Biari rest hose and stay there for night.

Day 2. Start trek to Dheer top (or Manoor top) and camp there for night stay.

Day 3. Start trek for Ansoo Lake and then Lake Saif ul Malook and finally reach Naran and stay there for night.

Day 4. Back to Home from Naran

I m waiting for useful tips, suggestions, information about the trek and maps etc

Brother u r asking for information about the trek and maps. Why do not you search yourself? There r atleast 3 threads on manoor valley. Those threads will be very helpful for you.

I will suggest go at the end of June so that u will find less snow and more greenery.

Take your start from Islamabad as early as possible so that u may easily settle ur 1st camp well before sunset.

Note: Dhair top is not Manoor top.

nai ustaad i disagree... ansoo lake say saifulmalook downhill hai just 2 hrs lagay *** wapsi par.. mayb 2.5 hrs... then they can go all way downhill also till naran but behtar hai jeep lay lain...

Asif bhai waisay thora hectic ho jata hai . Because Dhair top say app pehlay neechay atay hain then a little ascend towards ansoo lake .
Ansoo lake kay bad han descend hai us mein time kum lagta hai .
Waisay i told it as per my experience .

bro u should do this by the end of june, or else there will be too much snow and very less greenry... you should camp at dair top, not at the manor top.... the trek towards manor top is way too steep and rocky. we did this trek last year from lamma nakka and manor top side and even our guide got himself injured twice.

Best spot of caping at dheer top is just short of top there are few homes (stone houses of Bakerwals) is the best & safest spot for camping.As there is no water @ Dheer (Manoor top).THe spot i told got a fresh water stream.
More over there is 7 feet snow ate dheer top & Jeep trek is still not opened till Behari Banglow. Jeep can only reach upto Manoor bazar....its advised to wait for few more days.Dont forget to take guide along with you. Upper Manoor valley is famous for Bears so be care full & watch full.Do not throw litter or food items near cp site..Manoor Bears are deadly

Thank you dear Fahad. I already saw your link Man with a silver gun. It was very helpful for me to plan this trip. I also tried to call you on
mobile but I think you have changed that #. How far is Bakarwals from Dheer top? We are planning to go there at end of June i.e. 21-06-14 to 24-06-14, and I hope by that time treks will become doable.

Finally we have decided with mutual consensus that we will go on trek from 21-06-2014 to 24-06-2014.
we have found a guide from Behari Village and he has promised to Guide us on the trek and arrange horses or mules for luggage.
Our only one concern now is that "Ansoo Lake will be visible or not" by the time of our visit.
I hope all friends will pray for us.

Dear Pakwheelers
Due to Bad weather and too much snow on Manoor and Dher Top, we have postponed our trip upto August 2014. Our guide told us that Ansoo lake is still under snow and did not appear. He also told that trek from Dher top to Ansoo lake is also covered with slippery snow and is very dangerous. Therefore to avoid risk and enjoy the trip, we have decided to go after mid August.
